So i was going through the stash the other night and came across this kit. I opened the box to find it 90% finished, all it needed was foil and final assembly. So 2 nights of foiling and here it is. The paint's a little rough but it looks pretty good on the shelf. Thanks for looking and comments welcome! (I know there is no outside mirror Harry, there wasn't one in the box :o )

Looks very nice Bruce! I'm sure I have at least 3 of these kits in my stash in various stages of completion, but I honestly can't remember if I've ever finished one. I've loved the '63s ever since I was a kid when a guy I knew had a pretty nice "Chestnut" '63 500 XL. I remember that car being passed around town to at least three different owners, decaying all along the way. The last time I saw it, probably 25 years or more ago, it was looking pretty rough. I always wondered what became of it. :( Steve

Very nice Bruce. It turned out great. One very minor mistake though. The oval you painted blue on the back of your car should be red. That is not the old blue Ford oval used as a logo on Ts, As, and such, and modern Fords again since the early 80's. That's a red XL logo. It's so minor I'm not sure I would worry about it. Most people will never know its wrong.

Thanks for the info. That's why I love this site, folks can point out things without being nasty about it. Not always the case elsewhere.
