StevenGuthmiller Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Very nice Tom! Most people don't quite have the stomach for this color but I love it! I actually saw a new Challanger in this color a couple of years back. I think it may have been a limited edition color because I haven't seen one since. The Dodge equivilent was of course "Panther Pink". (at least in the early 70s it was) The Challanger had the white interior also with pink piping. Very cool! Nice job!! Steve

tbill Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 thanks everyone. and yes, the color is something else, lol, but I just love the high impact colors of mopars from that time frame. Harry, thanks for the proper spelling, I should have looked it up, as the can of paint is actually 'Panther Pink'
Helix Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Very nice work Tom Love this colour, I asked the question the other week because I had a can of Testors Rubystone Red which was similar; however, yesterday I found a can of Panther Pink at my LHS I'm going to use the colour on the Revell '70 Cuda... Cheers Ray

Steve Moulin Rouge / Panther Pink wasn't a limited edition colour. It was available just like any other colour, through 1970-71. It IS a rare colour though because not a lot of guys wanted to be seen driving a pink car... ? The most popular colour from that era, according to Mark Worman ( Graveyard Cars & Mopar restorer ) was Plum Crazy ( Dodge ) In-Violet ( Plymouth ) Cheers

The Challenger I was refering to was a "new" one. I did a little research & found that they only offered that color in 2010 & called it "Furious Fuschia". I had seen a few pics online & since then, I've only seen one in person painted that color. Steve
unclescott58 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Tom, you should be proud of how the kit turned out. It's beautiful. Scott
Mr mopar Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Nice work Bill.............................love that color!
