Yes I'm a Vietnam Veteran and you're welcome. Being a Vietnam Veteran is not the only reason I fly the POW/MIA flag. We still have Americans held against their will from WWII, Korean War, Cold War, Vietnam War, and recently Afghanistan. There's a Marine being held in Mexico right now.

And by the way, I NEVER fly a perfect POW/MIA flag. American flag, yes. Before I raise a POW/MIA flag, I cut off the far seam, bury it in the ground for a week or so, dig it up and drag it behind my truck for a couple of days. Then it goes on the flagpole. It's my way of letting people know that our POWs and MIAs have been treated like garbage.

A happy fourth to everyone! I spent my day power washing my pool deck and cover. A few more hours tomorrow morning and I'm ready for summer. Having guests tomorrow who may stay over.

11:44 p.m. and the neighborhood folks are finally done shooting off their fireworks, oops I spoke too soon. Yep over the years this has become a "hurray for me and FY society. I hope those people wake up with massive "hangovers" tomorrow morning.
