It's a dark week at the Tri-State Scale Model Car Club and NNL East. I had the sad duty of reporting here that our charter member (the club will be 30 next year!) Todd Koncsol had passed away on Wednesday at the young age of 51. Todd was our art director, an advertising professional that worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. He was responsible for all of our artwork and printing, so that's why everything we've done looks so professional. Anyone who has saved one of our flyers or wears one of our T-shirts has been touched by Todd's artwork...

So, in honor of Todd and Independence Day, we'd like to give away a dozen NNL t-shirts, the very last one that Todd designed.

The shirt design ends at the black line. The irony of this being Todd's last design is that his passion was Mustangs. Right before he died he had just finished his 1966 Shelby clone, built from his very first car. I had seen progress shots for as long as I knew him, but he only unveiled the finished car at our June meeting, not knowing it would be his last.

So... we'd like to give away six shirt in his honor on this board, and another six on another board. To get one, the only rules are that you can't have received a free shirt from me previously, and you promise to wear it! Don't worry if you are in Japan or Australia, we'll cover the postage, No problem!

The first six people who respond here, and then once confirmed, will follow up by emailing me (my email is at the bottom of this post) with their mailing address and shirt size, will get a shirt!

Sorry to hear about your friend and fellow club member. My deepest sympathy to his family and all the club members..........

His art work is wonderful and will live on "forever" for all modelers!

I am lucky to have a selection of t-shirts designed by Todd for NNL East including the one being offered. So I hope it goes to someone unable to attend NNL East as I have been lucky enough to do on a number of occasions. Thanks for offering these, Tom and I do proudly wear my NNL East t-shirts. They occasionally show up in my infrequent YouTube videos. I just happen to have the 2010 version on now which ironically features an 80's Mustang.

As a Mustang owner I know the feeling he had while taking her out and showing it off to his friends. Good friends are hard to find and he must have had some good ones in this club.

This is a great way to keep his work alive.

What a great idea, Tom. I'm sure it's a nice gesture appreciated by all.

If there's still one available, count me in, and I'll have it on in '15.

If anyone who has posted above wants a shirt, I will send them one! Just either PM me, or my email is always at the bottom of my posts here, your mailing address and shirt size. If I go a few over six, not a problem for guys who would appreciate a shirt!

So far I only have Carl's info.

I wish I had seen this sooner... I would've been proud to wear that shirt. My condolences to his friends and family, it's truly a a huge loss to lose a person with this much talent. May he rest in peace...
