1 day 19 hours left auction price is now at $77.19  + shipping $6.99

As P.T. Barnum liked to say....."There's a sucker born every minute!"

Tower Hobbies has it listed for $21.95 and Modelroundup has it for $22.90, so given the above eBay price, once could get at least three kits for the same price.

There is also another one listed with a starting bib price of $70 and BIN $100

From the listing

"New. SPECIAL EDITION 1983 HURST OLDS MODEL ..1/25 ONLY ONE ON EBAY. "

You got that right! Stick around awhile, and you'll be able to get it at Michael's with a discount coupon to boot! ;)

Well, the one bid up to $77 may have a shill...

r***c 7 )

that has only ever bid on this one auction.  Couple others have low bid counts too...Going to be interesting to see if this bid is retracted at the last minute.

I have such faith in humanity... :P

No, you have a pretty accurate BS meter!! :P I'd say from that listing, your meter was pegged.

That build up looks gorgeous!!!!!!! The only thing I would change is, I like a deeper wheel. Gonna be fun figuring out how to make them deeper without damaging the centers or losing that prestriped wheel ring!

I have been playing around with casting various factory Rallye wheels with and without trim rings and a couple of depths. I don't have the new Olds Hurst kit yet but I will see how mine resin wheels look. I'm working with a quality resin caster who is interested in my masters and hopefully will produce them

Thanks Ben. I started with MPC's 69 442 cut down and used various  trim rings and rims for front and back. Drilled out the lug nuts and used M&R's resin acorn nuts. Working on getting these cast in resin.

That one on EBay sold for $80.  im guessing the buyer is not a model builder and is more interesting in the fact that it's an 83 Cutlass. You can get three of them elsewhere for that price

Thanks for the heads up, just ordered mine. Spent enough money to get free shipping!

Update- Ordered before noon on a Thursday and received notification overnight that I should receive my order on Monday. Pretty darn fast service from central Illinois to Charlotte if I say so myself!

Not my most favorite car of the '80's but that DOES look good! Might just have to snag one simply because of the subject matter, as these will be few and far between of this type of car.

I wonder how many versions we will see from this mold. Stock Cutlass, maybe?

THAT'S what I'd like to see! Better yet, and this is probably a pipe dream--------a 1976-77 Cutlass Supreme which was my Driver's Ed car in high school! :)

Revell will most likely go with a stock 442 next. The holes for the spoiler have to be opened on the truck from the bottom side, top side is smooth without the hole showing. With that being said the body is already stock as are the rear bumper and front end, Just remove the chin spoiler on the front, and a flat hood and it would be stock.
