Thanks everyone for the anniversary wishes!  :)

On Monday we decided to check out the new Movie Tavern that just opened here in town.  I figured out that I'm not meant to eat dinner and watch a good movie at the same time!

On Monday we decided to check out the new Movie Tavern that just opened here in town.  I figured out that I'm not meant to eat dinner and watch a good movie at the same time!

I'm surprised at that as it seems that in these days, many people seem to stare at their iPhone and eat at the same time.

VERY nice as I remember back in the mid-90's when Camel was sponsoring an Unlimited Hydroplane, as I used to attend these races from time to time.

I know your pleased. But, shouldn't this be placed with finished models, rather than here? I always thought this thread was for things other than builds.

It is a very nice model, by the way.

Whoa. That's hot. First time I was out there I didn't realize how important it is to keep drinking water to stay hydrated if you're outside all day. I just thought it was so cool to not be clammy all the time. It's miserable here in the South at anything much above 80 F, with the humidity in the 60 to 100% range.

Boy you said it Bill, last week 87 here heat index 102. Very hard to breath. We get to September and weather is usually great till summer rolls back around. I was in Arizona at around 120 and its feels better then summer here...

My been normal the last couple of days.  Now I'm trying to get a hold of the neurologist to find out why.  I don't know if cysts just shrink on their own or if it moved or what.

Dry air.... I used to spend time in Denver on business and I always had a problem with my nostrils drying out and cracking. Nothing like putting Chapstick up your nose!

Yeah, I did a contract project at a small airfield in the Az. desert a few years back. My lips dried out really badly the first couple weeks, but with drinking a LOT more water than I ever had before in my life, I got acclimated and it ceased to be a problem. Chapstick definitely helped...but I never had it up my nose. :D

Well that made my "Pleased me list". Sure hope it's the shrink option!

Thanks fellas.  The double vision is going away just like it came on - unexpectedly.  Monday I start trying to talk to the neurologist again.  She gives the VA only 2 days a month.  The rest of the time she's busy with Shands and UF.

I remember admiring his work in magazines many years ago.

I also remember his articles in the magazines as well as his partner Tom Gaffney. They were the dynamic duo of car modeling back then.

I had to get license plate tabs for my car yesterday. I always go to a local suburban city hall where the line are either nil or very short. Less than 10 minutes and I'm good for another year of driving. Too bad they don't renew the driver's license there too.

Our Registry of Motor Vehicles is looking for ways to save money. Moving a Registry clerk or two to the city/town halls (or training the town clerks to do it.) would be a great way to cut down on costs wait times, and then move the driver's ed exams to the State Police barracks.

I put my Roadmaster back on the road last year- the registry line was nearly three hours. When I got my new Roadmaster, the Registry had started a new system, and the wait was down considerably- about 30 minutes, and then when I went to put it on the road a couple of weeks later after the transmission was done, I was in and out in less than twenty minutes.

In my continuing quest for some money to keep solvent, I've ended up being manager at my main hobby shop 2-3 days a week.

Spare Time Shop, Marlborough, Ma., if anyone's in the area. I'll be there Wednesdays, Thursdays and some Sundays.

Went and bought me a phone Sunday afternoon and i took the construction/ military phone. The guy thought i was strange because i did't want a smart phone. I just use it to make calls that's all. So maybe this one will last...
