Crazy Ed Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I have come across many rattlesnakes while spending time in the high desert in California near 4 corners ( Kraemer Junction ). Not a sound you like to hear when your walking around. What the heck were you doing wandering 'round there? Other that watching Test aircraft from Edwards there's not much of interest I recall. But I have to agree The Sound of a Rattle Snake is a Buzz I don't enjoy hearing.
Ramfins59 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I finally won a 1955 Plymouth promo on EBAY. I got sniped in the last 10 seconds on the first 2 that I tried bidding on, but finally got lucky on the 3rd one.

Plus you could get a pretty good breakfast at the corner. I was living in California at the time.

Generally when out that way we spend most of the time around Acton and Saugus. Heck we used to hunt Rabbits where Tips is above where I-5 is now.

unclescott58 Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Our pirate group made an unpaid visit to a young man who just turn six. A local news station did a feature on this kid and his fight with cancer. The kid loves pirates. So Captain Jack Sparrow, Captain Hook, Arabella, Red Bess, and I, Dudly the Deck Hand made arrangements to show up at his birthday party without him knowing about it a head time. The young man and his other guests were quite delighted by our visit. I got killed (again) in several duals. They chased Captain Hook around with a stuffed crocodile. One little lady fell madly in love with Captain Jack, and want to go home with us (I don't think Arabella would approve). And when one kid got into accusing us of not being "real" pirates, the guest of honor, the birthday boy, defended our integrity. It was a wonderful time. And the birthday boy was one of the nicest and sweetest kids I've met in long time. Well worth the trip and afford put into this one. Even though we were not paid (in money) this time.
Crazy Ed Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Me thinks we are do for another great photo Ed . : ) I'm sendin' the Camera back.......Again, but 'tween then and now I'll try to get a shot or two. The compressed Pics are ok, but full sized are "fuzzy". Here's a Shot from a couplea years ago taken at Whitewater Draw. During the Season a Wonderful Place. Sadly this year I only went there twice because of the Camera problems, but given that's my biggest problem, Life Is GOOD!
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Great pic !X2. Ed maybe missed his calling as a nature photographer. He certainly has an eye for the beauty that's all around us, and a skill for capturing it in images.
James2 Posted March 21, 2016 Author Posted March 21, 2016 My son and I spent 9 days in Daytona for the 75th Bike week, this is an example of the weather we had the whole time! It was an honor to spend time with Him!
crazyjim Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Well sure James. What do you expect? This is FLA. If you want a real bike week experience, you need to check out Arizona Bike Week. I think it's towards the end of April. Organized rides from different HD dealers everyday that included meals. Has a GREAT time in 2000.
oldnslow Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 I got the last of the garden in today, tomatoes, roma, cherry & beefsteak (the first ones planted, cherry, are chest high and full of fruit about the size of my thumb, bell pepper, squash, zucchini, basil, parsley, cilantro, dill and onions. I've been planting and setting it up for about 4 weeks now, then on the bad side, found out we're supposed to have frost tonight. But, since I decided to go with a raised bed set up in bins, I can just move everything into the garage for the night, which was the whole idea of using bins for mobility.
Crazy Ed Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Ray & Bill, Thank You. Bill given you liked the Crane Shot, here's a link to my Album on Photobucket it came from with 31 more Crane Pics.

Robert, I've got a Garlic Garden it a 100 Gallon Water Trough filled with potting soil. Thinking about Tomatoes in another. In my front room I have Cilantro and Radish's in rectangular planters, Thai and Sweet Basil, Garlic Chives and in starter "pots" 6 Thai Chili Pepper Plants. 3 of which I'l grow and 3 for neighbors. The reason for the indoor plants is a combination of weather and Critters. Right now there are ~20 Deer scattered around the House laying down in the shade.
Crazy Ed Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 20 deer ? That my friend would be a great pic ! Turned out to be closer to 30. Hope these do it for ya Ray.
