Man, I LOVE those things...... but there are no White Castle places here in western PA.  We find 'em in the freezer section of the supermarket sometimes, but the freshly made ones at the restaurants are WAY better.

Just eight broken ribs? That's all?

Jeez, you really wasted the ER's time... you could have just walked that off.

:P

I had a very hard time breathing an couldn't lay down.  I tried to get the bike up and ride home but just couldn't do it.  A couple witnesses scored me a 10 for the mid-air flip I did after getting launched off the bike.

put 51 hrs in at work the last 4 days, so boss gave us today off :D

me & dawg put it to good use, went to a favorite spot a couple hundred miles out in the bush. on the way, we pass thru Yale, small village of a couple hundred, but a boom town back in the 1800's. Yale was the gateway to the Fraser Canyon & the Cariboo goldfields. It was as far as the sternwheelers could get up the Fraser river.

one of the oldest churches in BC is at Yale, built 1863

That's some nice looking country you've got there Dan

118 here today they say. Good thing it's a dry heat ! : )

We were 12 degrees cooler here. It was the hottest we've been through here.

A week ago Friday I wrecked my Motorcycle. First time in over thirty five  years of riding. A dog ran in front of a van pulling a utility trailer, van parked it I couldn't stop and the dog walked away.

I got a ride in an ambulance and a broken clavicle, bumps, bruises and scrapes. The bike has mostly cosmetic damage easily repaired. My collarbone how ever took a plate and four screws to fix this last Friday. Which by the way hurt more than the accident!

Why does this please me? Because I have reviewed the accident over and over in my mind. It could have been so much worse! I did everything I could have possibly done to avoid it except stop in time and as they say "it happened so quick"

I am very blessed....

Given what coulda been, I'm with you with that being a Pleasing result.

The irony is that younger people don't know why they were called "Sliders".    Now everything sold everywhere on a small bun is called a slider.

I've been there before in the summer, actually working outside (in the shade, of course). I figure if I still like it as much as I did last time, it's a go. Better to make sure I can still deal with the heat before I put things in motion to move, eh?

Was a bit warm this afternoon on the commute home..

And that Pleased You? Do you have cloven hoves hidden inside your shoes :o:D

Well, it pleased me that it wasn't 125....  I'm just kind of numb to the heat now....going to go get in the pool now and relax...

Last coupla times I drove the old truck, she pegged the temp gauge within a few miles of the house. Let her cool down last time, limped her back home. Got lucky...all it was was a failed stuck-closed thermostat. Most-excellent-Yankee-just-for-you Chinese top-of-the-line parts-store "OEM QUALITY" replacement, less than 3 years old. Who knows how long this new one will last?

I'm thrilled that it wasn't something major like a blown head gasket, but still...3 years for a thermostat? They used to last 10 to 20 when they were made here. And the "OEM quality" lifetime-guarantee Mexican-rebuilt water pump is starting to leak too.
