crazyjim Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Don Garrett, a fellow FAST member and also MCM poster, has quite the imagination. He tied a '40 Ford pickup to a VW combi bus, with a cowl induction hood that started from a '49 Merc. Don did all the engine & chassis work, got tired of it and gave it to me. I finished it off as a vehicle to haul bikes around.
cobraman Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I never saw anything like that. Being I am "into" different I really like it !
unclescott58 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Interesting. I love thinking outside of the box. Scott
Danno Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Gee, that's odd. Interesting concept and pretty well executed. Good job, Don & Jim. That's not 'thinking outside the box,' Scott. That's thinking without a box, IMHO.

Porscheman Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 (edited) Outstanding, Strange but Outsatnding. The 60's were good to you!!! Edited August 6, 2014 by Porscheman
crazyjim Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 Thanks guys. Don comes up with some really strange stuff at times.
DynoMight Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Sometimes strange is cool! And in this case, strange is cool!
slusher Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Very unique but very well done. Great paint also...
Maxicoop Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I love it !!!!! that is something that is totally different ...... and very much cool !!!! outstanding job !!!!!
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 (edited) Such a cool idea...I'd really love to see somebody build that in 1:1, but with the stock '40 nose. Done right, it would have a real "Deco" or "Dieselpunk" vibe. Edited August 7, 2014 by Ace-Garageguy
IceMan Collections Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Odd indeed. Not sure if it convinces me. Do you have pics with all the doors closed?
Sixties Sam Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Cool! Very innovative kit bashing! Nice work! Sam
PappyD340 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Very unique but very well done. Great paint also... I agree with Carl! Nice work Jim!
realgone58 Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Wild build from a "crazy scale" guy! Dirtbike looks great too!
