Sport Suburban Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 Wow, Thanks everyone. Now to answer a few questions. The color is Testors Model Master custom spray enamel Turquoise Metallic #2945. I decanted it and sprayed it with my airbrush. I liked this color so much that I am also painting a 60 Thunderbird convertible with it. The model itself is mostly right from the kit. This issue has these wheels and the 428CJ engine. As for the convertible boot. It came from this issue 73 Cougar. I don't know if all of the issues have the boot or not. I did add the dog legs to the 69 tub. I just used some flat styrene and putty to do that.
Sport Suburban Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 By the way, I didn't use anything else from the 73 kit. It was a donor for one of my 70 Cougar restorations. So most of the parts are going for that build.
Dominik Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 What they said. Beautiful! It looks like you added a black wash to the grille. That adds so much realism and is so easy to do... I'm amazed at how many people don't bother, and it makes their model looks very toy-like. x2
Ratrodtommy77 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Mustang on steroids! Love the whole sporty like the mustang but classy like a Lincoln styling of the cougars.. Great job mate
Lovefordgalaxie Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Oh boy... That is just gorgeous. The paint is great!!
Maindrian Pace Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Fantastic job Raoul, love the color combo and the trunk rack, and the convertible conversion is spot on from all angles. It's great when when builders achieve exquisite from common kits. -MJS
