mariojr Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 What are your favorite build here in this forum. That you liked or jus followed along or favorite builder. . . . I love a lot of em but romells 69 Daytona really inspired me to get on the bench (that man has skills)
Evilbenny Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 (edited) The "Roy Munson" 72 Oldsmobile Convertible that brian_m is working on. His project is so cool. I hope he gets back to it soon with some progress, hint-hint. Great job on this Brian. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=62884&hl= Edited August 21, 2014 by Evilbenny
tubbs Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 anything by anybody that get to the "under glass" section. I have one request, if someone posts up a favorite build, can you put a link to it, that would be so helpful.
mariojr Posted August 21, 2014 Author Posted August 21, 2014 http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=44578 that link is for the 69 Daytona
gtx6970 Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 This one, hands down. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=42096
W-409 Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 This one, hands down. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=42096 Agreed. I think that's as close as Perfect Modeling as it can be, and I'm glad we've been able to follow the progress on this one, so thanks for sharing your build, Chris! This is another one...'31 Nash. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=75054 http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76698
ZTony8 Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 The Nissan/Camaro from Dr.Kerry.That thing is just so cool.
Dragline Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 There was a road racing Mustang a few moths back that was just killer. Chris' Funny car is my ever present inspiration though.
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 (edited) One of my faves was John Bissinger's '32 Ford 5-window... Then there's Karsten Schmidt's 356A Speedster... and his equally beautiful 550 Spyder... Anything by Jurgen Kowalski, like this W196 GP Mercedes... or his Jag Mk II 3.8... Also anything built by comp1839 (Dave Smith). Fantastic craftsmanship, fabrication, machine work, and knowledge-based accuracy... Charles Rowley's fire vehicles,,, mackd-built (Alain Bradet ) D-8 Cat... Edited August 22, 2014 by Ace-Garageguy
mnwildpunk Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 More then favorite builds I have favorite builders and think all their build are something to inspire to and masterpieces works of tim boyd, cruz, joker, dr. Cranky, wonderbread customs lonewolf and to many other builders to list
Casey Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 1/25 scale perfection. http://www.svensworldofwheels.com/76ventura_page.html
Richard Bartrop Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 There's lots of great stuff, but of the recent entries, this one caught my eye:
KWT Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 23 hours ago, Casey said: 1/25 scale perfection. http://www.svensworldofwheels.com/76ventura_page.html I've seen this pop up from time to time. It's pretty awesome from top to bottom... and those wheels are wicked.
Snake45 Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I've become a big fan of the recent posted glue bomb resurrections done by Sport Suburban. Just to pick one, here's his '70 Javelin.
Deathgoblin Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 A lot of the scratchbuilders just blow me away. There was a guy on here doing some scratchbuilt classic cars that were amazing, and the person that did a scratchbuilt show rod (Hitman?) was awesome. Their skills just made me want to put my tools down.
Richard Bartrop Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 (edited) The one that really blew me away was Scalemaster's scratchbuilt Lotus 7. A humbling reminder when someone feels tempted to make pronouncements about who is or isn't a "real" modeler. Edited March 12, 2018 by Richard Bartrop
