Lovefordgalaxie Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 This one I built from the new tool AMT kit. Painted with Tamiya spray can paint. Interior and undercarriage were airbrushed with Testors acrylics and enamels. The trim is a mix of paint and BMF, being the rear sail panels, painted silver instead of foiled. Box stock build, don't have even spark plug wires. Hope you guys like her!! 1960 Ford Starliner by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr
unclescott58 Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Okay, this one I'm saving images from for my future build of the '60 Starliner. I love light blue cars. And seeing yours tells me the '60 Ford would look good in that. I will do my best in building mine, but it will not be as nice as your. But yours has inspired me to try. Scott
Danno Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Beautiful! But, yeah, the big, bulky plastic kit antenna just doesn't cut it.
Guest Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I dont like it at all. I am completely in love with it!!!!!! Awesome!
Maxicoop Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 superb build !!!!! nice, nice, nice !!!!! that's all I can say .....
bbowser Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Great model, and wonderful photos as usual. I really look forward to seeing your work!
Lovefordgalaxie Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 Thanks gentlemen!! Yes, the antenna is a bit bulky as is the fuel line, that almost looks like a silver radiator hose going to the carburetor, but, it's a box stock build, and when I do that (90% of the time) I change nothing that comes in the box. For the ones that liked the color, it's Tamiya French Blue, from the spray can, and that color is a perfect match to a FoMoCo color called Horizon Blue, that was standard on the Edsel cars. Over the counter, it could be ordered on Ford cars, you just had to have a little patience.
rmvw guy Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 This looks like the car that inspired me to build 1/25 scale models back in 1960. Nice job Tulio, I love it!
deuces wild Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Beautiful!!!... I have a few of these including the newer customizing version that's molded in white.. Can't wait to start on it..
Mike 1017 Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Beautiful build Tulio. How many Fords are in your fleet?
geetee66 Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I love this...so much so, that I've just bought one on eBay. When I first got into model building, I found it hard to understand why so many of us had stockpiles of kits.. Now I know why. I might be $40 lighter, but I'm gonna be $1m happy when I build it!
Lovefordgalaxie Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 Beautiful build Tulio. How many Fords are in your fleet? Mike, I've lost count... Have a lot of them!!! Just by looking around I can see 20, and i'm not counting the ones inside their boxes in storage. I love this...so much so, that I've just bought one on eBay. When I first got into model building, I found it hard to understand why so many of us had stockpiles of kits.. Now I know why. I might be $40 lighter, but I'm gonna be $1m happy when I build it! Very cool!!!
