Dinky Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Hey Rich, back in business Wow nice start, looking great!!
crazyrichard Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) thnx guys , came home and the paint on the table was dry , so i glued on the glass top and added a chrome center piece , not because of the glue , no you could not see the glue was under the glass , i just didnt like the center and thought it looked nice with a tad of real chrome dont mind the champion box that was a test for something else , i wont use this size in this dio Edited September 1, 2014 by crazyrichard
crazyrichard Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) yeah could be .. now really thinking about the direction i want to go in..sure i like it but i'm getting further from just a nice garage i wanted to make ...i could have easely made a diner loli have to watch out i'm not going overboard on the 50's furniture and make like a too staged whole ...you know ? like i want to get the rest looking more like a place where rods and custom come to life , get maintaned etc ...so i have to think about what i need to do stylewiselike either go 100% for the theme i have now or make the rest a tad less out there and more normal ... bit stuck on the whole overall feel and look Edited September 1, 2014 by crazyrichard
wrecker388 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Looks great! I always love seeing your builds.
Modelbuilder Mark Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Wow, a few days behind on this one. I am not sure how I missed you startnig another garage....well, I am ready to follow along now! Great stuff so far
crazyrichard Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 thnx guys !but atm i'm a bit stuck .. what do you guys think is it a mancave garage or could it become a customer garage ..not sure atm .. hard to decide the rest now i went for the 50's rock and roll look ....
crazyjim Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I vote for mancave garage, Rich. All the customer garages I've been too don't like customers near the work area.
bobthehobbyguy Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I vote for mancave. Looking great so far.
gasser59 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Either way, you need a Rockola or Wurlitzer jukebox to set the tone in the waiting area.
Modelbuilder Mark Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Mancave sounds cool, add a pinball machine, maybe big screen TV.
crazyrichard Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 yeah bit tired atm .. this weekend i dont have any time but i hope to do some stuff next week
bpletcher55 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I,m with them mancave ,hope to see more soon ,great work RICHARD ,
Mister Twister Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I like what I see...Nice work so far no matter how you go...It'll be nice!
crazyrichard Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 after thinking about it for days and days .. i got stuck .. tonight i was sick of the fact i could not come up with something and i didnt like the look ... so i gathered a bunch of scrap wood and started building , no thinking just build , in no time i had this going on and the idea's started coming again !! so the white pillars are thick , nice and stirdy , the wooden edge gives me room to continue the theme with stained wood , white and the racing blocks also the wide edge makes room for some advertising signs and what not .. now later i will make windowframes in between the white pillars , a doorframe with opened door so scale wise thatw ill be good later on ... then i will add a ceiling on the office ..... that will give me the chance to put lighting in the office .... so in the office i will keep the floor . but scrap the 50's furniture idea , instead i will put in some archive cabinets with books , a desk ... some office stuff and what not .. so overall the garage will remain a cleaner one but with a more rough look , with rough i mean not the over the top 50's look with red bench and juke box etc .. looking back thats just not my thing for a dio .. one day i will do stuff like that but then i want to build a full diner / drive trough ...
crazyjim Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Oh man. No pool table or jukebox? Bummer. Looks really good though.
Jeremy Jon Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) Cool beans man, cool beans!! Mini man cave for sure ...diggin the blacked&slammed Charger too! Edited September 9, 2014 by Jeremy Jon

crazyrichard Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 thnx already stainded the wood edge of the office and now i'm making a roll up door .. will post pics when thats in , not really working that fast atm
crazyrichard Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) crappy pics but for the idea .... stained the wooden office edge , that will get more detail later on dont mind the door and window openings in the office , this is just the base i will make windowframes and a doorframe with a door and windows , in proportion so then it will fit the scale .. now those are just pillars with big open spaces that makes it look too big , so that will come together later on started on the rolling door rolled up part with chains , no electric door other wise they get lazy haha the door also need some guiderails on the inside of the opening Edited September 11, 2014 by crazyrichard
