Snake45 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Judas Priest - Breaking the Law I can't hear that song without thinking of Beavis & Butthead.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 There was an episode of the Simpsons it was on, something with Swedish people or Danish people and how it reminded them of death

Guest Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) I blurred it, and other people did it before without a grumble. Thanks for commenting on a non-issue. Sorry if I hurt your feelings little boy, but rules are rules. I complain when I see the language. I just don't always catch it. Just because others use it does not make it right. Why does your generation fail to see that??? I have to listen to vulgar profanity all day at work. I come here to escape, and don't want to have to see it here too. Harry P. Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Spandau Ballet - "True" ("ha-ha-ha-ha-ha" - speed it up and you have the Woody Woodpecker song...) Scott McKenzie - "San Francisco"

I come here to escape, and don't want to have to see it here too. I think it's a bit harsh to talk about "your generation". I can assure you that we're not all like that. I don't think it's a problem that only applies to youth, and young adults, I've been on a lot of forums where people in their mid 40's and early 50's use whatever profane words they want, and if anyone says something about it, they get immensely agitated and go on and bash everyone who wrongs them. It may not be as common as his and my "generation", but it's there, if you like it or not. Also, there doesn't seem to be a single song for young people that doesn't have any profanity in it. I'm not trying to prove anyone wrong here, it's just my opinion on this, if there's anything that's not clear please send me a message instead of clogging up this great game topic OT? Lucas.
Guest Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 My point is I come here to get away from it . Maybe it was harsh, but sorry, i see it a lot, and again, just because that generations music is full of it DOES NOT make it right. It is un necessary here.

I didn't say music makes it right, but since this generation is listening to it, it seems almost harmless to them. I understand that it doesn't belong on this forum, or any forum whatsoever. Just like yoy, I come here to relax, and look at all the beautiful builds by you guys.
Harry P. Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 It's really sad that today's music is filled with profanity. Back when I was a kid and my musical tastes were forming. profanity in music was incredibly rare. So rare that any song that used it became "famous" immediately. It was very much the rare exception, not the rule. I can probably count on the fingers of one hand the songs that had a "swear word" in them... and they were never played on the radio without the word being edited out. These days, swearing in music is as common as the sun coming up, and IMO that's a pretty sad commentary on how our society has "evolved." We used to have standards as a society, but it looks to me that our standards are all falling away and today, anything goes. Pretty sad.
Guest Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 My thoughts exactly. Takes very little talent to write songs like that as well.
Custom Mike Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Iron Maiden- flight if Icarus?? Good job Carl! Flight Of Icarus is one of those songs with great imagery, but the video is just blah! They could have done so much more, but for whatever reason, they went with a recording studio clip...what a waste!
ChrisBcritter Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 speaking of hurting.... such a classic. Those happy hours that we once knew Tho' long ago, they still make me blue They say that time heals a broken heart But time has stood still since we've been apart "I Can't Stop Loving You" - Don Gibson, but Ray Charles had the #1 hit version
ChrisBcritter Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 And re the language: It's pretty annoying the way it's used currently but I do love hearing outtakes that turn blue - try listening to "Think Twice" by Jackie Wilson and LaVern Baker, then listen to the outtake "Think Twice - Version X" (which I really couldn't find two lines I could use here!) without laughing even harder than Jackie and LaVern are...
Draggon Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 You nailed it, good job! This one won't slip by me Glenn, I saw them live with Megadeth...and she looks just as good in person as she does in the videos, and sounds even better than the album! Warlock - All We Are You got it! I saw them at a small club in San Francisco when they were supporting the Triumph and Agony album. One of the best live shows I've seen. Being only 20 feet away from Doro was pretty cool too!
Custom Mike Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Glenn, they were on that same tour when I saw them in Fayetteville, NC. I was on the front row looking up at her...man, that's a good looking woman! I'm not a big fan of blondes, but if Doro Pesch would have me, I'd be right there!
Belugawrx Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 It's one o'clock and time for lunch,When the sun beats down and I lie on the benchI can always hear them talk. Genesis I know what I like (in your wardrobe) Me I'm just a lawnmower, you can tell me by the way I walk" Great song
