Pete J. Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Sounds like the opening drag engine noise from a 60's Drag/Surf song. I just can't figure out which one LOLOk, here is a hint - One of the band members is described as being the master of the ticky ticky guitar. Once you hear it you will know definitely know it.
Pete J. Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 The Ventures - Pipeline. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omG-hZfN6zkGood enough. Actually it was the Chantays the did the original but I always liked the Ventures better. It just seemed a little cleaner.

Actually it was the Chantays the did the original but I always liked the Ventures better. It just seemed a little cleaner. Wow, Just for fun I looked up what were some of the "Pop" tunes an equal amount of time between today to when Pipeline came out to before it. 3 of the Top Tunes back then were:Let Me Call You Sweetheart, America the Beautiful and By the Light of the Silvery Moon. Anyone else feeling a tad older than they did a few minutes ago?

Straight on 'till morning,We're not lost, no, we're just exploring, and the forest is beautiful, lush and majesticwith lots of tasty mushrooms, go on and test it...............Noone will ever guess this one! It's "Pirates" by a lady who calls herself Gabby LaLa....... She's kind of a Lady Gaga parody.............
Harry P. Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I'm sure this is Dave Edmunds. I Knew the Bride When She Used to Rock & Roll? (Boy, the Quote function here now is WHACK!) Correct. Nick Lowe also recorded a version of it. In fact I'm pretty sure Nick Lowe wrote it, but Dave Edmunds recorded it before Nick Lowe did.
