Art Anderson Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Buncha tedious addtions here! All the little parts in white styrene were added: Crossmember to carry the rear of the engine, under the transmission, an extension to space the steering gear in alignment with the steering column and the clutch arm. Also added is the clutch/brake pedal shaft mechanism, with pedal arms made from .020" brass rod stock: More to come, as this thing is moving right along! Art
Harry P. Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I notice you keep on opening a new topic every time you have an update. Wouldn't it make more sense to have one topic, and continue to update that one topic as you progress, rather than start a whole new thread every time you have an update?

Art Anderson Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 Were I faster with a build like this, I'd just carry on with the original thread, but chasing that down after all these days/weeks? Nahhh. OK?
martinfan5 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) Second page, not that hard to findhttp://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=93040 You can also go into your profile and find all your content that you have posted, makes it easy to find it that way as well, you can search by replies you have made , or topics/threads you have started, pretty neat huh? Whats circled in RED is what you need to click on Edited September 1, 2014 by martinfan5

OK? Come on. How hard is it to find your thread and update it? It makes zero sense to keep opening a new topic every time you have an update.
niteowl7710 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Were I faster with a build like this, I'd just carry on with the original thread, but chasing that down after all these days/weeks? Nahhh. OK? On the main page of On the Workbench in the blue bar are a bunch of ways to sort the forum, including one labeled "Custom". If you click on that you can then sort the forum by "Topics I Started". So easy a caveman can do it, and makes those of us following this build not have to chase two dozen individual threads around and/or make Harry have to constantly remerge this build back together.

Exactly. If all the rest of us can do it, so can you.
Art Anderson Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 Exactly. If all the rest of us can do it, so can you. Oh well!
Harry P. Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Oh well! Are you saying you're incapable of doing what all of the rest of us can do? I don't think so.
W-409 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) As a guy who likes to read these threads, opening a new thread on each update makes it impossible to follow the progress on a certain model car, just like someone said. I know that looses my interest. Anyway... You're doing great job with this one! Edited September 2, 2014 by W-409
J Morrison Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) Oh well! WOW...just wow. SMH Edited September 2, 2014 by J Morrison
peekay Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Looks like an amazing kit and if anyone can do it justice, then you. I think I can pass on the Opel myself but if ICM does that Packard in 1.24th I'll be there.
Guest Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Nice work Art. Would be nice if some commented on the build instead of whining about you starting a new thread!
southpier Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 but then I'd have nothing to read in the "what irked you today thread"
southpier Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 actually, a closer & sideshot would help me appreciate this level of detail (hint - hint)
Foxer Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 ehhe um, bookmark your threads when you start them? I'm an Old F to Art, and cane find the first thread I started .. need too since it's STILL on the workbench! lol
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Another REALLY easy way to find your thread (I use it, and some of mine have been dormant for YEARS) is just google "art anderson opel admiral". First several hits are your threads here. Looking forward to seeing this beautifully done (as usual for Art) build progress. Kinda nice to be able to see the whole build in one thread without having to hunt, though.
sjordan2 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 As Foxer mentioned, just bookmark your thread and keep coming back to it in your bookmark menu. Bookmark is the answer.
