Tom99 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I painted it 1960 Ford Yosemity Yellow. I also has a period correct six cylinder engine.
David@MinidreamsInc. Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 nice and clean ! This is a cool stocker here i like the color alot
o-man Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Agree with the statements above me. Very nicely done. Great color choice.
slusher Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Very sharp. Very nice touch on the 6cyl and color..
unclescott58 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Very nice. I love the looks of those early Falcon Rancheros. And you did a great job of capturing that look I like. Scott
Snake45 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Wow, that's a nice clean build. Nicely done!
unclescott58 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Oh, I forgot to mention, I like the six under the hood. I forgot the kit doesn't come with one. So can you tell us more about this? Scott
Sixties Sam Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Nice stock Ranchero! I wish the kit had a 6 in it. Good work! Sam
DeeCee Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 That is very nice and tidy , straight off the show room floor look about it.
peekay Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Love the look of this, great colour choice and the new kit's wheels/tyres are a big improvement. (I do hope you can get that window glass back up where it belongs though.)
Maxicoop Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 WOW !!!!! looks like it just came off the show room floor !!!! super build !!!!!!!!!!
carrucha Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Good job. I really dig the body color and engine choice. I bought this kit about a week and half ago. I like the kit. I wish they included a Ford power plant instead of the big block Chevy.
impcon Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 You really made the right choice on that colour as it looks stock and right on that car. It's nice to see a build where an attempt is made to make the model represent the more common, at that time, mundane colours. Reds and blues are nice, but many of these little trucks left the factory in more bland colours but seeing them in those colours today is a real treat. Hmmmmmmmmm.. no six cylinder in that kit eh? I was looking at a resin 170 six cylinder and transmission on Ebay this morning but it's over $14.00 plus shipping. That really adds to the cost of a model. After looking at your build, it occurred to me to buy a couple these kits - one to build stock and one as a curbside and the engine would go into a Falcon convertible that I just got. But no six cylinder = no Ranchero kits for me. I sure do like your build though...
