If someone had told me two minutes ago that I would LIKE a purple El Camino, I'd have laughed in their face, but that thing looks FABULOUS and AWESOME!

That paint looks really nice! Like S., I would have never thought I would like a purple El Camino. I also like the scoop on the hood! Is that a kit part or scratchbuilt? The only kick I have is the late '40s-early '50s steel wheels. I would switch them out for some later model steel wheels. The AMT '58 Impala has a real nice set and even has an extra pair of deep steel wheels. Another is the Revell '64 Fairlane Thunderbolt. One problem to watch out for on this kit is the front suspension. For some reason, it needs to be moved forward some to get the tires centered properly in the fender wells. IIRC, the rear also needs a little adjustment towards the rear. It's been a few years since I built mine. But, I remember having to adjust the wheel base a little on both ends.
