mangodart Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Hi guys, Back with a new finished model, this time an old Monogram '24 39 Chevy Panel, the "green version" on the box. When I was a child consulting the 81 Monogram catalog I was dreaming of this kit but couldn't find it here in France. Years later I get it unbuilt but incomplete, missing the hood. I decide to go for a stock version, so there is the 6 inline engine, coming from a 53 Chevy, modified to looks like a 39 model, wheels are from the 41 CHevy pick up, decals from my parts box. Hope you'll like it
mangodart Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 Now let's drive to the Salt Lake Hope you'll like it
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Very nice conversion to stock on the Chevy. Nice chopped '34 too. Have you shown that model on here before? Nice view, too. I assume from the vegetation and the background that you're in the south of France, looking over the Mediterranean. Beautiful.
unclescott58 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Great job. I too like both models. Very nice. Scott
bobthehobbyguy Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Nicely done. Great idea doing a stock version.
JTalmage Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Very beautifully done. I love the gray coupe too.
crazyjim Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Looks wonderful in SHINY :) . Yard looks real good too.

impcon Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Now THAT is SWEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!! How refreshing and unique to see a stock build of this car.. and the workmanship is awesome!!! Who says that stock ain't beautiful or it's dull??? You really did a nice job on this - love the detailing - especially on the hub caps! It's the little things that really make a difference!
DeeCee Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Very tidy, nice colors and i like the trailer combo too.
carrucha Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 (edited) Good job. I don't think I have ever seen one of these sedan deliveries built factory stock. Too bad Monogram didn't include factory stock parts on this kit. Edited October 4, 2014 by carrucha

Too bad Monogram didn't include factory stock parts on this kit. I would suggest that Emmanuel really raised the bar with this one as to creativity and the hidden possibilities that lay within so many kits that were never released in stock form. Included in that list is the '55 Ford panel truck. But this Chevy sure proves that when the dream is big enough and the desire strong enough, the facts don't count and we are limited only by our own imagination. I keep coming back and looking at his creation here and the more I look at it, the more I appreciate the novel approach and the talent displayed in the pictures. Again, very nice, quality workmanship!!!!!
