I looked at the AMT '67 Corvair chrome tree. I believe I saw the turbo parts in the lower right side. It is not included in the '68-69 kits, or recent issues.

Only the '65-66 AMT Corvair kits have CORSA emblems.

Modelhaus probably won't do '65-69 Corvair tail lights because there are tons of re-issue kits out there. But be aware, some of the re-issues have solid chrome tail lights and no clear red inserts. This is part of the AMT part reduction plan of the '70s.

Sorry, I don't remember the persons name. Honestly, there are few if any lines on it that are true. Looks like they started with the VW Vanagon.

The Corvair van is called a Greenbrier. I think they made until '64.

Wasn't just the window van called the Greenbriar, and the panel a 95? I owned a few panels years back, but I don't remember if what I just said is true or not.

The window van is the Greenbrier and it was made from 1961 - 1965. The panel van is the Corvan. Pickups were Ramsides and Loadsides ( no ramp).. The Corvan and Rampside were built from 1961 - 1964, The Loadside was 1961 and 1962 only. All of the trucks were known as Corvair 95's for the 95" wheelbase, or as "FC's" for forward control.

I have 2 resin kits of the Greenbrier. ! is the same as the one pictured and I think was sold on Ebay and from Arizona. The other one I have is from TKM. Both are rough, the side windows are not square or in line with each other and the roofs are wavey. One of the casters also offered the Corvan and the pickup, and also a couple versions of the Monza/Lakewood station wagon have been produced.

The Premier Rampside is actually not too bad. Doesn't have clear windows in it and a bit smaller than 1/25th scale but proportions aren't that far off. A few years back resin copies of it were made by Corvairmodels. Too bad Dean Milano's Ramside wasn't reproduced in resin at it was very nice.

Vairnut: the Greenbriar van "from Arizona" came from eBay seller "benpackaz." From Benson, AZ. He also sold a resin Corvair Lakewood wagon.

He was still on eBay as of a month or so ago, but with no resin kits listed. The last item I found him selling was a 1/32 Gunze 1959 Ford.

I also have both the benpackaz and TKM Corvair vans. You're right, they look...challenging.

I was disappointed in the 'challenging' nature of the Corvairs ~ I wanted them all, but not from Benpackaz. I have a Suburban-style '55-'57 Chevy window van from him and it shares the 'challenging' genes with the Corvairs.

Pass.

I've got one of these. Looks like a pretty nifty kit. It'll give me a lot of spare parts to restore my "Dr. Krooks" kit. Some of the engine components are missing. :)

Saw somewhere now listed as January release.

That's odd. One actually ended up on eBay and sold for $10. The same guy also found the funny car and everyone went nuts on it and it sold for something like $60, just so they could have it a few weeks early.

There was a C cab hot rod model, that had an early Corvair engine. It also had the upper cross member, springs and lower control arms. It also had the swing arm axles as well. I had one many many years ago. I know it was molded in red and was 1:25 scale. I would love it if they actually made a separate front suspension for the late models. The front cover assembly on the rear of the engine, is to say the least completely wrong as well . The oil filter never sat next to the crank pulley but instead in front of the pulley. The oil cooler sat higher under the alternator. The engine is also missing the sides, front and rear shrouding. I have a 1965 Corsa kit, nobody mentioned it came with 13" Cragar S/S mag wheels. The Anson Sprint slots came in the later kits.

That C-Cab model may be Revell's "T-Bone Stake" (spelling of "stake" is intentional = stake bed truck).....

This model was a enclosed body. It had a non opening hood on the front area. It also had oval windows on the rear doors. I believe the box art showed white outline pin striping around the body. Don't remember the wheels but I know it had bigs n littles
