Porscheman Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) I bought this one at a swap meet Friday night. It was never painted and was in very nice condition. I painted it Tamiya Bright Red and no clear. The interior was done in Testors Honduras Maroon lacquer with 1:1 automotive white pin stripe for the seat accents, of course I tinted my windshield with 3 very light coats of Tamiya's Clear Blue for a realistic looking tinded galss. Let me know what you think. Al Edited October 21, 2014 by Porscheman
Ramfins59 Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Al, your a madman..!! Getting it done in 24 hours.... I'm lucky if I can get one done in 24 days. Great job, and I love the colors.
cobraman Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Al, you did it again ! Looks great ! Just think what you could do if you took 25 hours ! : )

karbuildr Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Great restoration. I actually owned one of these in high school, way back...when. Built like a tank.
Porscheman Posted October 22, 2014 Author Posted October 22, 2014 Thanks everyone. I had a lot of fun with this one. Al
StevenGuthmiller Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Nah! Looks pretty crummy to me. Or at least it should, completing it in one day!! I couldn't do that in a million years! At least not well! Another nice job Al. But do us all a favor & take a break. You're making us look bad! Steve
slusher Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Gorgeous model Al. I have been on the same build 6 weeks...
Dare1 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Looks pretty amazing to me. Love the color scheme.

Lunajammer Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Aside from it looking hot, I too am surprised you could do that level of detail in a day. Excellent.
Jeremy Jon Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Can always applaud a good rescue, looks great, well done!!
1930fordpickup Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Very nice save. Good thing it did not have the forty custom parts glued all over it.
realgone58 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Al, you're a lean, mean, modelling machine!
