Scottnkat Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 This is the Revell Germany release of this kit. I modeled it after my Uncle Al's car. I had planned on doing a few things to it, but the kit is not simple and I ended up happy just to have completed it. At the end, few parts would fit properly without adjustments/drilling/trimming/cutting of some sort. It is mostly box stock with flocking and Alclad being the only "adjustments" I made to the kit. Here's the engine with the bonnet raised Here's the interior and one final pic
Miatatom Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Nice work. I have this one in my stash but it'll have to wait until I get a lot better at building.
Speedfreak Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Nice job on what sounds like a tough kit. What scale is this kit? 1/24?
Tonioseven Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 That's a really nice build!! Didn't Steve McQueen own one of these?
Chuck Most Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Love it! I've heard horror tales about this kit, but looks like you pulled it off pretty well. That's a really nice build!! Didn't Steve McQueen own one of these? That he did- http://selvedgeyard.com/2011/03/06/steve-mcqueens-mean-machines-the-1957-jaguar-xk-ss-green-rat/
