Snake45 Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Believe it or not, I'd never heard this song before John B. Wells played it as bumper music on his Ark Midnight program last night. Good stuff! (Jump to about 1:40 to get right to the song.)
4mula1fan Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 From my old e flat, double clutchin, semi trailer truckin days. Glad they're over. Not fun on the road anymore.
Snake45 Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 I was a huge Hogfat fan back in the day, right up through at least the Fool for the City album. I need to dig those out and listen to them.
Draggon Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Here's something really weird-Mongolian metal throat music. I like it. So does Metallica. The second one is even weirder. Scroll through it to hear Maria Franz's vocals. Mystically creepy in a good way.
Miatatom Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Samantha Fish! A blues phenomenon. I mention her because she played here in Chattanooga last night. At $79 per ticket, we had to pass. Check out her videos on YouTube. Gone For Good and Shake Em On Down are great. 1

Mike C. Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 I've been listening to the debut album from Paleface. He is kind of a folk singer that was taught write and play by the late great Daniel Johnston . The album will get inside your head. You can search it on YouTube under paleface st full album. Skip Burn and rob on the album, the single version is much better?

I think he wore that shirt with the Daniel Johnston album cover on it on the MTV awards if I remember. I think I meant to post this as a new topic. I wanted to comment on the Ron Asheton band. I thought I knew everything about The Stooges. I must have just forgot about New Order. It's funny the New Order from the 80s didn't run into legal issues. ? I'm a major Stooges fan. BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH shame when Ron Asheton was found dead.
Mike C. Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 This is a good topic for me because most of the music I like to listen to is pretty obscure. Some that come to mind are bands like Bongwater, Exploding White Mice, Swervedriver ,the Grifters....... I like some mainstream stuff Ramones, Bowie, Replacements, Sonic Youth......

Venom Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 (edited) Just discovered these guys today... Found out they didn’t last long, the singer died. Too bad cause’ he had a great voice and they could rock! Here’s one of their full albums (one out of two made)... There’s not a single bad song on it. Check out the song ‘Peace Pipe’ Edited November 24, 2021 by Venom
Draggon Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 I just discovered a metal cover of The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Awesome!
Mike C. Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 This band is somewhat known especially in Australia. The Go Betweens. I've been listening to them since the mid 80s but just broke out the Tallulah album (on youtube) again great stuff.

afx Posted December 18, 2021 Author Posted December 18, 2021 (edited) Not sure if Gorillaz actually recorded this but I like it. Edited December 18, 2021 by afx
4mula1fan Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 Outward Bound has been used for commercial background music for years. The local dirt track and area drag strips used it.
