cobraman Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Next on the bench will be the Revell Fairlane Street Machine kit. I will be using a Jimmy Flintstone resin wagon body. I will fill the rear side windows and maybe the back window to make a sedan delivery. Please excuse this crummy photo. : )
cobraman Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 Thanks guys ! My track record with resin has not been the best and this body had a broken windshield post and the entire roof was bent over to the left. I think I have that all straightened out but we shall see. Body was sent using that flimsy white box that Flintstone uses for the bodies and it did not hold up well as a shipping box .
bobthehobbyguy Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Another interesting project. Will be following.
tbill Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 this should be pretty cool, will be following.
blunc Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 move the C-pillar forward and call it a "Crown Delivery" or more appropriate... "Crown Courier".
cobraman Posted November 20, 2014 Author Posted November 20, 2014 Thanks gents. I hope to get the body all prepped today. It has already been soaked for 24 hours.
hjracing Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Cool project! I'll keep an eye on this one!
wayne swayze Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 This will be fun! Enjoy the build Ray! Any specific direction you're aiming for?

cobraman Posted November 21, 2014 Author Posted November 21, 2014 Got the body about 90 % prepped. Blocked the windows with some sheet plastic. Can't decide to leave it as is or also block up the small side window as well.
slusher Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I would not block off the small side windows Ray. I would leave the back tail gate window open...
bobthehobbyguy Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I would say block the small side windows but leave the rear window open.
vintagercr Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I would remove the "c" pillar and fill in and keep the tailgate window open.
