Belugawrx
It's winter, Itchy scratchy its time to start building.... something! Everything is in lock up until I find my own place but,...... The new space efficient bench So out of all my unbuilts I choose this Yep... Try to make it a hardtop resto-mod but without the boxy top First I took off all the side trim and cut up the gross looking soft-top with a lot of filler and cutting down the front windshield surround it might, might....maybe look Fluid Thnx for looking and all QC+C's welcome and needed. ChrisBcritter
I was going to say I have a roof from a junked '62 promo that might help, but it looks like you're going in another direction. Good luck!
rsxse240
the top and windshield are the 2 reasons I've not started building mine. But it has come in quite handy for custom parts for other builds. I think with a little lower and more raked windshield, using the kit supplied tonneu cover, slick dark colored paint and as much chrome as possible, this car would be the BEST looking T-Bird ever. Keep it up, I can't wait to see what you do with it.

Belugawrx
Enough trial Bob,.. to just put it away lol Found this '79 TA top I think will work Sail panel matches the laid back tonneau and seat angle,...so I'm in,.. after alot of sanding, fitting, filling...etc. I found some old Detail Master spinners which I think look much better!.. So bye bye rims to the Holey Spokes Test fit of glass to the roof .... Meh? just needs more scribing, sanding, filling, drawing, sanding...ad nauseum. Thanks Ken, yes I am using the tonneau as pkg shelf,..should be an interesting paint area!! I will keep working it because it is the only lump of styrene here! Everything else still in the U-Haul lock-up (2 miles away, but when the mood strikes..) And GAWD I hate Testors filler in a tube,...just sayin' Thanks for the comments guys,... Andy, Christopher, Carl as always Q,C+C's welcome Cheers Edited December 12, 2014 by Belugawrx

Belugawrx
After much fiddling and sanding and even more dry fitting,... I have the glass situated,... Now I can pin and glue that roof down and start filling. The glass is so thick it distorts the view of the interior, so I've looked up vacu forming on this site and else where. Doesn't look too difficult so,... will try! Keep you posted Cheers
JTalmage
I'd bring those front A pillars down just a touch. Give it more of a streamlined look. IMO
