This looks shorter to me.

I didn't measure either one I had, but it's definitely not this

I think the Italeri version is a modified reissue of the ESCI. I could be wrong.

So the Gordini was made by ESCI as well? Strange...Heller kit, also sold by AMT in a double kit with the Alpine, then sold by ESCI....Impressive. I like the Gordini. I have a Heller one, but the body was short shot and missing part of the body.

I don't think the Gordini has ever been issued by Esci, looks to be some other logo on the box and also has Japanese writing on it. Reminds of Unions boxes. I belive that the Italeri Land Cruiser is a reissue of the old Esci kit and it is only the boxart that fools us into beliving that it is a SWB kit. I think that you have to modify it into a SWB if you want one.

I have both the AMT 1958 Impala and the 1957 Bel Air (vintage tool) boxed as ESCI kits. I believe I got them from Hobby Heaven back in the early '90s. If memory serves me correctly, they were selling them dirt cheap for some reason (way cheaper then the equivalent domestic market AMT boxed versions).

That's the ticket! Thanks! Now to find one. And I won't be needing the big gun.

I got mine a couple of months ago in my LHS so I suspect they are one of Italeris current releases.

Donate the gun to someone on the zombie apocalypse community build.

Would've bought one, if the hardtop was in there.

I think the hardtop can possibly be scratchbuilt or possibly cast in resin quite simply (at least if one does the sides and top separate)

Here are what I believe are all versions of the Escort kit along with the RoG release. I am currently building this kit.

I have the same, I got mine from Model King back then. It was something about either a cancelled order or over production. AMT (or who ever owned them then!) dumped a load of these onto model car dealers. Model King would also buy their remaining stock after the Blue Printer promotions. That's where I got all my Blue Printer specials!

ESCI did quite a few subjects that appeal to me. Here is the rest of my ESCI collection.

I have a number of Esci kits including the Ferrari 250 SWB but mine is the version raced by Stirling Moss ( the dark blue Rob Walker car ) . Also the BMW 320 but mine is in black ( Carling Black Label ) .

I have the SWB also, it's one of my favorite Ferraris, but this kit is easily one of the worst/incorrect models I've ever seen...

I really wish Revell would finally release the old Italeri kit like they announced they would a couple years back.
