landman Posted December 22, 2014 Author Posted December 22, 2014 Would it be easier to cut the bell housing off the resin trans instead of the finished engine? You could cut it off with a razor saw, cutting a bit into the housing, then sanding it down towards the trans.

Took the lazy way to separate the C-4 from its bell housing and mounted it to the one on the engine. Painted the resin BFG tires, the wheel centers, sanded the letters and assembled the wheels. landman Posted December 29, 2014 Author Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) I present you the sorriest looking sparkplug wiring job on this forum. Mind you, it is my first. Maybe I'll get the hang of it. With all the fumbling about with the wires, the transmission fell off. When I had looked at the picture of the 27th, I felt I should have left more of a flange, so I made one before reattaching the transmission. Anyone know where the notched stripe decals at the bottom right go on the car? Edited December 11, 2020 by landman

I'll go get a few photos of the real ones to compare. It may be easier this way. While playing with the body I noticed that one of the shock towers is not fully defined. How do I carve this out? mustang1989 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) Pat I must have been a little tired before I went to bed because I didn't see the major difference there at first. At this point I would see myself as having two options. 1) Cut out the good spring tower area and cast a duplicate one in resin, then cut out the other side as close to the shape of your good side and glue in your resin copy. Then re-adhere your good side back in or 2) Try my luck (and this depends on how far along you are with the car body) with contacting the manufacturer of the resin body about getting a replacement body. You could "let it slide" which is a hard pill to swallow and depends on the time frame in which you want this done and the money involved. Edited December 30, 2014 by mustang1989
