FordRodnKustom Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Finally finished this one up yesterday. I built it from a bunch of parts I had left over from a previous box art resto I did a while back. I didn't buy anything for it, just used what I had on hand. It was a challenge and a lot of fun watching it come together. I used an original windshield assembly in as found condition as a nod to this model's humble beginnings. Thanks for taking a look. Comments welcome.
TooOld Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 There it is ! Love the blue and the use of the original windshield ! Very nicely done Ron .
wayne swayze Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Really nice save! Nice colours also. I really need to build a "T", , it won't look this good tho'.
Snake45 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I love projects, rescues, and restos, and especially resto projects using only leftover junk on hand. Fabulous work, and model on!
am73grand Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Beautiful build!! You should be proud it looks great!
rmvw guy Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Beautiful model! I too love the blue. This one is on my bucket list.
DumpyDan Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Look great, saved one of these myself a couple years back.
Greg Myers Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Nice save Ron. Now all we need is another repop. Yeah, I know, but NOT this one.
Bernard Kron Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) Nice save Ron. Now all we need is another repop. Yeah, I know, but NOT this one. Beautiful recreation Ron! It's remarkable that someone like RepMin has never made a transkit for the later reissues. Or that Modelahus doesn't at least offer the steelies and tires... Edited December 15, 2014 by Bernard Kron
FordRodnKustom Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 Thanks guys! I appreciate your good words. As I've said before and I'll say again....I'd like to see Revell reissue this kit in original form. Once that's done tool up the specific parts to do a "Little Drag" and a "Little Rod". Probably to much to ask for a "Little Tub"? Anyone agree? Would you buy one or all? I darn sure would!
FordRodnKustom Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 (edited) Double post...delete Edited December 16, 2014 by FordRodnKustom
Muncie Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Well done! That shows why we want this back with the original Little T parts....
wayne swayze Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Being a huge hot rod fan, I would certainly buy a few of those. I believe I have the original body with turtle deck in my box of old buildups although I kinda prefer a pickup box. But having a few extra rods in the shop is like a comfortable blanket on a cold night....just feels right! When my health improves, I 'll be out there making some purchases!
