I've yet to purchase one of their kits but they always get positive reviews. The coming WRC Polo kit looks very tempting

I'm liking the skoda and vw. Looking at getting the skoda as we've just ordered a skoda octavia rs wagon for the family car.

A small teaser from our Belkits VW Polo WRC.
this is the test shot built, without painting.

After this build, we have found some changes to be made:
- wheels need improvement
- more detail needed for air intake on hood
- and other small updates

A new test shot will be produced now and will be sent to VW for approval. After approval, production can start.

I saw a picture of Belkits box art for a Mark 1 Escort Rally Car from the 60's somewhere. Nice to see them dipping their toes in the water with a classic rally car instead of all the new stuff. If it sells well maybe we will see other classic race/rally cars as well like a Mark One Lotus Cortina or a Metro 6R4.

I've heard good reports about the Belkits rally cars. There are aftermarket companies that do decals for them as well.

Thats great! I like Polos. I've yet to buy my first Belkits kit. I have been trudging circles trying to find a justification to spend the required amount for one of their Fiestas, the Polo is likely to come in the same category.

When the Escort is released, that is when it will get really challenging!

There is a part of me thats dissapointed that the Escort Mk1 thats due is a curbside, part of that cars magic was the twin cam BDA engine and it would have been great to build a full replica....that said Ill be getting one anyway. Looks to be a very good kit.

Im very surprised Revell AG hasnt done a Mk1 Escort road car as a kit yet, the different versions they could model would be fantastic.

Good point James, it won't stop me buying the Escort kit when it's released, I was just daydreaming about a rally repair workshop diorama  with the Escort engine in bits ...... I'll wake up now lol.
