realgone58 Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Not really builds so to speak, but modeling techniques were used to achieve a more realistic piece. Here's my 2014 promotional re-furbs.
72 Charger Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 They are realy nice I like the caddi a lot
TooOld Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 There they are , I was hoping you'd post these ! I consider them builds as they take just as much effort to complete as any model . . . very very nice !
peekay Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Great looking models! I do this too - it broadens your choice of subject and, in some cases, the promo was more accurately scaled than any subsequent kit. If some people don't consider this to be building a model then that's their problem.
promoman Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 All are nice. Especially the 56 Pontiac and 62 Fairlane.
FordRodnKustom Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Sharp detail. I did a double take on the Caddy....it looks 1:1!
robertw Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I like your idea of taking curbside promos and detailing them to model standards. It's a great way for modellers who may not enjoy painting bodies or detailing engines and chassis to create a collection. I've used promos on a number of occasions but usually repaint them because I was unwilling to live with mold lines. Until you look very close at your models they look just like a very well built kit so keep up the good work.
rmvw guy Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) Nice models, I would love to have some of these in my collection. Edited December 29, 2014 by rmvw guy
