landman Posted March 11, 2016 Author Posted March 11, 2016 (edited) While attaching the hoses I managed to break the very flimsy resi valve stems. Made new ones out of brass tubing and completed the set. In place near the welding bench. Edited November 16, 2020 by landman
Canso65 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I could spend all day looking at your diorama Pat. There are so many details!Nice job.
landman Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 The "to do list" . There is also the line boring machine to build.
charlie8575 Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Pat, this is really coming out fantastic. Great work.Charlie Larkin

landman Posted March 27, 2016 Author Posted March 27, 2016 Thanks guys. Lots to come yet. Hope you'll enjoy it.
landman Posted April 14, 2016 Author Posted April 14, 2016 Anyone care to guess what this assemblage of seemingly unrelated parts will become?
crazyjim Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 And I thought I was close too, Pat. Looks like a terrific start to an english wheel.
Foxer Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 That's cool! Scratch one clamp and add many smoothly curved fenders. I fillet above the top wheel in that notch will make it fully rigid.
GTJUNIOR Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Truly inspiring work Pat. Keep at it. Can't wait to see what you do next.
landman Posted April 16, 2016 Author Posted April 16, 2016 Truly inspiring work Pat. Keep at it. Can't wait to see what you do next. This Tony.
landman Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 (edited) Since I took the time to move the dios to a better lighted spot to take photos of these latest items I thought why not take photos of the whole thing, both rooms. starting with the restoration shop, imagine starting at the left wall and moving clockwise to the right wall. 1.Front part of the left wall 2. Back part of left wall, where it meets the back wall. 3.Left center portion of shop. 4. Right center portion of shop. 5.Right end of back wall where the three engine display is. This display will change regularly. 6. Front right wall Edited November 16, 2020 by landman
landman Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 (edited) And now the shop itself. Lotsa stuff to go in there yet. Same deal here, photos from left to right. 1. The shipping/receiving area. Workbench is there temporarily. 2.Those three engines are where the line boring machine will go. 3.The crankshaft grinding machine 4.The surface grinding machine Edited November 16, 2020 by landman
Belugawrx Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Wow Pat, that is some amazing scratching there Very Well Done Cheers bud
landman Posted April 25, 2016 Author Posted April 25, 2016 (edited) The current trio on display Will be replaced by a trio of Ford SOHC 427's. I got three in various levels of completeness in a large engine junk pile I bought on eBay. I scrounged around the other engines and with a little scratchbuilding (coils, oil filter) and one pair of resin valve covers I can make three. Edited November 17, 2020 by landman
charlie8575 Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Boring machine? What if I want an interesting machine? All bad jokes aside, very nice work on those machines, and I'm not kidding at all about that.Charlie Larkin
landman Posted April 27, 2016 Author Posted April 27, 2016 Here are the three 427's on display. I changed the location of the platform for ease of photography. It was hard to get good shots in the corner.
