Geno Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Kitbash between the Monogram kit and a GMP '71 Judge diecast. Painted in Brewster Green. Not very good pics but it's all I have at the moment.
Snake45 Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Very impressively busy looking engine! And congrats on using black plug wires, not yellow, blue, or red.
atomicholiday Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Oh man, that's sweet. Gonna be an awesome right when it's finished.
cobraman Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Looks good. I like the keys in the ignition.
disabled modeler Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Very nice....it has the same wheels my old 75 did.
om617 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Great detail and nice paint. Did not know GMP made 1:24 scale models.
Ford guy Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Man Geno, that alot of detail. It looks great! Love the wheel choice,
Geno Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words. This is just a car I'd always loved as a teen, can't afford a real one so this is as close as I'll get lol.
mustang1989 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 That sir..............is a great looking engine!!!!
freakshow12 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 That's the die cast engine I'm pretty sure. Looks good though
Geno Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 Yes Fred, you are correct with a little added detail.
wmobie Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Bought one of these 1:1 back in the day. Waited for ever as the EPA never really signed of on the 310 hp 455 SD. Enough of us complained and a Brewster Green 1973 Trans AM, Super Duty 455 with saddle interior and "rock crusher" M21 4-speed. Only options were heavy duty everything. Build quality was poor. Dash had a rattle that drove the dealers assigned mechanic nuts, lost a plastic distributor gear(should have been brass) and the paint developed a severe rash. Yup the dealer had the youngest mechanic who was the only one who would touch the car. Got ten mpg sitting still or going 139 mph. (observed!!) Loved playing with SS396 Chevies. Still have bill of sale, paid $3904. Sold it to a "Jet Jock" from out West for what I paid for it. Got through the first GasWar driving a Toyota Corolla 2-dr wagon. Walt O'Brien
