He needed a little guidance, but he took right to the idea of "snap". Revell made it very easy.

Also, I found out that Jack is like "Snake"; doesn't believe in reading instructions, but then again, he's only 3-1/2 years old!

Remember, we're the males of the species, we don' need no stinking instructions, they're just someone else's idea of doing what we can without all the wasted time for reading.

Oh yeah, there's still an Audi, and a Crown Vic' cop car for you to get him, then the Impala cop car would be the next step up the ladder. Don't give him time to discover video games, I have one seven year old grandson that shows some interest in models, but I'm having to drag him from his games, and then our daughter and her husband got a kindle fire for the six month old boy, and darn if he isn't trying to play the thing already. We're doomed unless we can keep them in a cocoon. lol

Del, unfortunately we're too late on the video games. Jack has been playing them as early as 12 months old. At age 18 months, he could grab my iPhone or iPad, turn it on, then flip through the icons until he found a game he liked. He's a really smart kid! (not that I'm proud grandpa or anything like that...)

He noticed the snap models on a visit with me to the LHS that I frequent. In particular, he noticed the kid on the Mustang box art, and indicated to me that if that kid could build the model, so could he. Naturally I jumped at the chance to accommodate his request.

Y'all can be sure that I'll be doing my best to encourage his participation in the hobby. As it's been discussed in other threads, I consider this to be a wholesome hobby that anyone in the family can participate in.

Thanks for your kind comments!

Great!!!! Is he playing with it??

Yeah, Ron, that's the great thing about this kit. The kid isn't expected to put the completed model on the shelf and just look at it!
