1930fordpickup Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 This is looking good. Takes me back to when I was a kid and the new neighbor had one of these , around 1980 or so when he moved in.
HNTR Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 QUESTION- How did you cut the decals out. Did you cut out the center of them where they go on the sides? Did you cut the hood "Warlock" out separate from the pin striping? Looks good. I have 3 of the Warlock kits and was going to be building one box stock soon and bought those same decals.

Yes, that's exactly how I did it Mark but I think I'd do them solid if I did it again. Much easier to keep strait and the carrier film wouldn't show after clearcoating anyway.
426-Hemi Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 LOVE THIS! Where'd you locate the decals from? I got a VERY similiar truck to build....

Can-Con Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 Finished the paint. I think it turned out pretty good.
Ron Hamilton Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Steve, I am enjoying this one. Looks like you started something. Pics later.
Can-Con Posted April 11, 2015 Author Posted April 11, 2015 Thanks again guys. Here's another mockup. Finished detailing the grille and replaces the molded in headlights with some resin ones I made last weekend. I ended up with quite a few headlights, I'll have lots for any projects I'll need them for later.
HNTR Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Would love to buy or trade for some of those headlights.
slusher Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 That's going to be a very sharp truck when finished...
mustang1989 Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Jeez Steve! Blacks a hard color to get right and it looks like you've done wonders on this paint work!!! Looks great!!
Mopar - D Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Steve grill looks nice and those head lights look good.
kelson Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Can you show us a picture of the stuff you used to cast the headlights?

Can-Con Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 Finally got the front suspension done. Had some breakage problems when I was making it poseable but it's all worked out now. Also finished and installed the interior. I think I may have to raise the back up a bit more yet but it's about where I wanted it.
