DeeCee Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 This is the Foose Coronet kit, with a bit of Viper thrown in to the mix. Started by widening the rear guards, and slotting in an Injected V10, and plumbed in a pair of turbo's behind the rear guards. To go with the Viper theme, i have grafted in the Viper dash, and 4 x Viper bucket seats, covered in snake skin, also has a snake skin hood lining. Also chopped up a challenger hood scoop and grafted it onto the Coronet hood. Without the side scoop.
DeeCee Posted March 8, 2015 Author Posted March 8, 2015 A couple of others. This is how i widened the rears, split it and filled it.
Stray Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 That's a pretty radical looking beast. I see a bit of marbelising on the roof too hey? Nicely built mate.

Thanks mate, and yeah, there is some marbalizing, the inspiration for this build has snake skin up through the centre, but was way too hard to do.
Stray Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Snake skin's not that hard really. If you get some fishnet material, like the plastic stuff you can buy oranges in, it is easy to use it as a mask to lay the diamond patter for the scales. Even some of them Loufa(?) things that you use in the shower can sometimes be pulled apart and used as a template. Then it is a matter of building up shades using candies and transparent colours. I think Mike Learn did a tutorial from memory, but it was probably someone else.
hgbben Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 There is a lot of business going on in that build. Really turned out well.
Mopar - D Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Great build I really like how you put it all together.
Petetrucker07 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Very nice. That's very cleaver hiding the turbos under the rear quarter panels. Looks great, well done.
Lunajammer Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 I sure like the models you bring to this forum and this is no exception. I'm guessing the black didn't turn out like you'd hoped but I give you high marks for the courage to try. An excellent, progressive, technical model.

Mike, the black was deliberate, as it was not meant to be black, just going for something different, and Technically, this one had me buggered a couple of times mate, but i think it worked out in the end.
Relic_Models Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 What did you do for the black and red stripe? I like the texture. Not a bad effort, and it's certainly got a lot going on.
TFchronos Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Awesome build, fearsome looking Mopar. Very nicely done!
slusher Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Outstanding build Dale. Beautiful and wicked together. Impressive detail. May i ask where you sourced the spoiler/wing from...???
DeeCee Posted March 9, 2015 Author Posted March 9, 2015 What did you do for the black and red stripe? I like the texture. Not a bad effort, and it's certainly got a lot going on. The red was done first, then taped over, the centre stripe was dark grey, with lighter grey over top, and scrunched with food wrap while wet, to get the effect. Outstanding build Dale. Beautiful and wicked together. Impressive detail. May i ask where you sourced the spoiler/wing from...??? Thanks mate, the rear wing is from an old Pro Stock kit from way back, i think. Thanks everybody.
