428 Ford air cleaner decal
Exotics_Builder replied to jdcar32's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
He is still in business but trying to catch up on orders. If in the USA, your best bet is to order through Rays Decals North America. Joe Morgan is in Wisconsin and does the communication and ordering with Ray in the Netherlands. Be prepared for a long wait though. The decals are high quality, but he can only produce so many in a batch to get reliable outcomes from his printer. I have still two outstanding sets on order for about 5 months now. Joe does not charge until the decals are in his hands. So, I plan my projects accordingly. sunbird93racer@yahoo.com is his email address. Determine what you want from Ray's web site. -
Very, very nice!

Hi Brian, Spent some enjoyable time this afternoon getting caught up on this masterpiece !!!!! The cab interior is flat out amazing. All the detail wiring, monitor, levers and gauges look spot on. Can't wait to see your paint job. Randy -
I think they would. Letβs work something out.

I'm only in my mid forties, but the years of doing it beat you up and I feel it,too. Being reckless in my youth didn't help none, either. -
Thanks, Mike! The dash was actually pretty easy. I bought the dash gauges and displays from BestModelCarParts on eBay. Makes it real easy! For a couple of bucks, it is well worth it. He also sells gauges for quite a variety of other cars. I often check out his offerings before I try to find images and print my own. The ones I print myself are nowhere as clear as his are. Bart

Looks good! Seems like a prime kit for a kit-bash project.

Yeah, nothing like the possibility of instant death or serious injury to keep the pulse pounding. The other big issue I'm having is age related. It just hurts to crawl under the car and is even less fun getting back up. So I try to make sure I have every tool I'm going to need. Never works, but I try. -

I hear that. they do have a way of keeping you on high alert coming apart. I'm cautious every time I do 'em. Struts too. -
if i'm bidding on ebay for an opened kit i always assume a major component is missing and bid accordingly. That way if it is, its less of an issue. I've had more issues with amazon than ebay but i've also found johan kits on amazon for 20 bucks so i guess its swings and roundabouts. if your looking at new buy it now kits you can probably find them cheaper elsewhere but for older kits i still like ebay. I'm one of those folk that puts in my bid at the start cos i dont have the patience to watch them count down.

Ah yes I see; the only 70s El Camino we have in town here is actually a β74 GMC Sprint. Those round headlights definitely look better than the stacked. -

Thanks, Nathan! It's a 77 so has the stacked rectangle front headlights. I'm not particularly a fan of those so I am now installing some 74 round headlight buckets. -

After a long bout of procrastination I finally got the new shocks, dropped spindles, shorter springs and front sway bar installed. I should point out how much I hate installing front springs. This might be the last set I do myself. Car is dirty from the shop. -
Gorgeous. Very well detailed, great color choice.
