  3. Hi Folks, Thanks Mike!! Andy, Thanks Hey Daniel, Still plugging away, hopefully decent progress by the time you hold it again🙂 Thank you Ace!! Pierre, No 10 thumbs on you , always impressed by your work. Thank you Bill A. Tim, I wish I could carve out more bench time my friend. Really looking forward to your chassis work. Thank you Jon! Francis, Appreciate the kind words Sir, you continue to be an inspiration with your beautiful creations! Next up is some work on the fuel tank and plumbing ....... This pic is from Tamsoldcar site showing the tank out of the "Streamliner" bodied Birdcage (1960) Circled area showing parts of the fuel system... making up tank body out of Renshape. Skinned with a fairly thick adhesive backed ally foil that I embossed some beads into... more.....
  4. Well I just spent an enjoyable morning catching up and going back thru this stunning thread my friend!!! I always go back to drool at those carbs. The tiny perfectly machined parts for the fuel system once again demonstrate that you are operating on a different level than most. Looking forward to the frame. Randy
  5. Francis, count me in as another of your fans that look forward to this seasons updates!!! Randy
  6. But Ian, it is great fun for us as viewer's when you let this cool stuff get away from you!!!! Randy
  7. Building a Maser Birdcage means you need all sorts of metal with holes all over.... Building the uprights and frame that holds the rear body in place... I added a roll bar...... That is all for now, will have more soon!! Thanks for looking in, Randy
  8. Hi Folks, Francis, Have to admit that it was nice to hear of your cold weather coming in up there! Looking forward to your updates in the Drag Section. David G., Appreciate you following along! Thank s Marcus. Andy, Thank you Sir! Ian, I feel much the same way when viewing your threads in the Drag Section! Your real world experience in drag car Tim, Okay my friend, I know it has been awhile between posts, but I am not "Francis" 🤣 ... wish I had some of his skills! Mike, I know that feeling!!! Finally some progress on this one... The trunk lid on the Tipo 60 & 61 were simple affairs. Maserati saved weight by not having any kind of hinges. Rods on the leading edge of the trunk lid slipped into sockets on the rear body work. When closed and latched, four rubber grommets were slightly compressed and created enough pressure to keep things closed.... framework that gets soldered to the underside of the rear body .... more.......
  9. Fabulous bodywork Charlie!!!!!! What are you using for soldering the aluminum? Great looking frame also !! Randy
  10. Thank you Trevor!! Jeff, I am humbled by your words my friend🙂 glad you like it Daniel! Sometimes it seems that way Steve!!! As always Brian, appreciate it. Brian, I did have a couple more pics handy for that hinge system.. Hope those help my friend. Randy
  11. Some small beads and a little paint.... Also working on the boom folding mechanism.... Now it pales in comparison to Tom's awesome boom on his crane truck but I have almost 68 feet 😁 Thanks for looking in! Randy
  12. Hi Folks, Thanks Brian K., It is getting a little heavy😄 Jeff , Appreciate the kind words my friend! Glad you like it Brian S. Thank you Victor, I look at your RV & trailer build and think the same thing about your skills with styrene!! Daniel, that is a good one ! Steve, thank you for following along on this one! Been trying to get a start on the sprayer details out on the booms. I need about 40 of these sprayer nozzles. You find them with anywhere from 3 to 6 heads.... Here is my effort. Photo etch 'x' , pipe union, and a vertical brass piece and a horizontal one all... more ......
