  1. I went to the site and typed "FXRT" into the search bar and came up with what I posted earlier. I'm currently waiting for some info from my brother so I can compile a list of the bikes and their respective parts needs.
  2. Still wandering... Wed, May 8 12:00am In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late Tue, May 7 12:00am In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late Hasn't even reached Omaha yet, where every one of my packages gets held up for at least one additional day.
  3. Can-Con, thanks for taking the time to do the research etc. Unless I'm missing something (always a possibility) the wheels in the MPC '57 Corvette gasser kit are the same as the ones in the Mustang SVO kit I posted. Would you agree? More importantly, I'm still wanting to know if any resin caster offers them.
  4. CD, as noted in the initial post, we're in the heart of the US Midwest. My brother is aware of the two sources you mentioned, but says they don't offer much for what he has. As an experiment, I dug up all the parts J&P offer for the FXRT. There are a total of six parts listed, and two are out of stock. Unfortunately, none of the parts they do have are what he needs. I appreciate the nudge though.
  5. Hmmmm, interesting. Any idea what 1:1 wheel this is meant to represent?
  6. If memory serves, MPC offered these as a custom wheel option in (+/-) '84 Mustang GTs and SVOs.
  7. I noticed a couple people mentioned the bed as a tricky part of this build. Did you have any other issues? If so, it looks like you overcame them. Nice build.
  8. Yeah, yeah, it's been done before Just kidding. Great build as always. Hope that rear axle can hold up to that Hemi.

Love this build, especially considering what you started with. Please LMK what paint (ex: Model Master #1624) you used. Gorgeous.
  10. I think the stupidest thing I saw in the last 10 years was a package that had made it from the East coast to Denver (about 4 hours South of me) then zinging 500+ miles West to Salt Lake City before straggling back to its final destination. In the meantime, my current purchase is touring the midwest... 11. Tried this recently on a Corvette forum I'm on, but didn't get any helpful answers. These segments of the thread pretty much sum up the whole situation: Me: My older brother is an avid Harley fan and currently has four older models (FXRT, FLDH (?) Springer and... I don't know. Long story short, parts have become extremely hard to come by, and all of his bikes are sidelined. He's been in the game long enough (decades) to know who used to carry what, but it sounds like so many things have been discontinued even Harley shops are having to resort to cannibalizing parts to keep older stuff running. Riding is one of the things he enjoys most, and I know he misses it, so I'm hoping somebody on here might have alternative sources for parts to help him get back on the road. TIA for all helpful replies. Just trying to help a really good guy. Originally Posted by RollaMo-LT4 Been like that for quite awhile. They are in a much better position to work on them anyway. To the OP: Find an Indy Shop (Independent Shop) that deals with older Harley's. A good shop will keep these bikes running well into the future. Me: We live in the heart of the Midwest but lack any cities of any size nearby with the facilities needed, so anything he couldn’t fix himself had to be trailered to Hill City S.Dakota or Ft Collins Colo. Both have long since run out of most service parts for bikes from the ‘80s- early ‘90s. It’s not uncommon for the Ft Collins shop to have bikes in for service 6 months before Sturgis on the off chance parts can be found and utilized.
  12. Seeing how well this turned out just makes me want someone to offer it and other Can-Am cars in 1/24 or 1/25. Kudos to Mark for getting that much detail out of a small scale kit. 🏆
  13. Excellent work! I love seeing these kits built and displayed. Hope to see more from you soon.
  14. Ah yes, another one of Mark's mini masterpieces in the making. I love Can-Am cars, and the 917-10 is one of my favorites. I have an Aurora HO car in this same RC Cola livery, and I just saw some model show footage featuring a 3D-printed 917-10 (1/25?) in L&M livery. (Note to self: start saving now). I'll never be able to work in this scale but I always find it worthwhile to take a look when Mark's got another build going. It's enthralling to see the accuracy and detail that goes into something that started out so small and basic.
  15. I have it on good authority that it's a great shade for painting resin tires.
