Chuck Most
Well, I hope nobody minds, but my little tractor conversion isn't going to be so little. It'll be a little bit jumbo-sized, actually, because I'm starting out with a '26 Mack AC.

Chuck Most
I noticed. Mine might keep a few more of the stock Mack parts, but even stripped down of the uneeded truck stuff it's still pretty big!
Chuck Most
Progress on the Mack so far...
otherunicorn
Unusually for me I watched some TV last night. TV is always good for my model building.

Hollywood Jim
You guys are right. This would be fun. As soon as my good friend rlwheels finishes one, then I'll build one.
otherunicorn
Added some roughly applied paint - "probably from a left-over can of house paint or something".
Chuck Most
I hope that leftover house paint wasn't latex- it wouldn't last five minutes on a vehicle.
otherunicorn
I don't think latex paint was invented by then. It would be good old enamel.
carsntrucks4you
I join this build. I will start with Tweedy Pie or The Beverly Hillbillies Truck as a base. Edited December 19, 2012 by carsntrucks4you
Pat Minarick
I got everything in primer today ! Going to start painting later all with a brush, I think the only spray will be some dullcote.
otherunicorn
Well I am in finally. I was going through an old box and found some of my old pressed steal toys parts and found some wheels.. I am going to try to use this pair. there old solid rubber ( the one has a very egged out hub though but I think I can fix it ) and when I am feeling a little better I will try to get to the kid's old toy box and see what I can get there. I still undecided on the engine.. because the oldest engine I have is flat head V8.. heh I may do the mad scientist and coble up a something. I will probly scratch build the frame and what not. I only had a flat head V8 too. So that is what I used.
