  1. I got it painted. I airbrushed the purple pearl and added a fade of blue pearl. I used some decals from the amt vantasy. I am not sure if I am done with it yet or I might add some more, we'll see.
  2. Just got this yesterday and started it today. I am going for a 70's style van, with some parts, wheels, and decals from the amt vantasy. I lowered the front and I got it in a base coat. Hopefully tomorrow I will get the pearl purple on it. A little van crazy huh???
  3. Got the first color painted, now I need tape it up to spray the second tan.
  4. Got the first color painted, now I need tape it up to spray the second tan.
  5. Quick little update on this, got it polished out and painted the interior. It still needs alot of detail on the interior.
  6. Thanks guys! So I did not get as much done as I wanted today, but I got my bags made and some little progress on the frame, tomorrow I'll get some styrene from work to add the details. I also think I am going to go with the stock grill. I think I will start cutting out some of the doors soon, I just don't know what ones yet lol
  7. So I started this for a club build off on another forum. All I have done so far is start the frame, and cut up the floor so it will lay out. I also cut the hood out. I am not sure if I should use this grill or the stock one, we'll see. I hope to get the back half done soon since I have to have this thing done in three months to meet the deadline. Thanks for looking.
  8. Hey thanks guys, hopefully I'll have the interior in some color soon. I think I'm going to two tone it in tan, we'll see.
  9. Thanks man. So I got this thing painted and cleared, but still needs to be polished out. I also did a little to the engine. Still thinking about the interior color too. I am really thrilled with the way it is coming out so far. More pics here: http://s373.photobucket.com/albums/oo174/bowtiebadboy33/Tamiya%20nissan%20300zx/ thanks for looking.
  10. Ok cool man, so I got it painted and cleared and some stuff done on the engine. More pics here: http://s373.photobuc...nissan%20300zx/ thanks for looking.
  11. Hey man can I join in on this with my tamiya nissan 300zx? here's what I have so far: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=54395&hl=&fromsearch=1
  12. Hey guys thanks for all the comments, it was a really fun build! The more i look at this thing it needs that front badge foiled desperately, but it's on display at work so it will have to wait for now.
  13. I shot this Tamiya miata with tamiya's sky blue acrylic right through my airbrush. I used duplicolor primer and cleared it with the testors one coat laquer, which looks great to this day.
  14. Thanks guys! I am not typically a fan of foreign cars but there is a few I like and this is one of them. I just really like the lines of the car for some reason. Can't wait to get more done, because it's going together great so far.
  15. So this is just a quick build to refresh myself after 2 frustrating builds. It is tamiya's 300zx, really nice kit. I have got the body primed and the panel lines engraved a bit deeper because they were quite shallow. I have finished the chassis and the engine is in progress. I also swapped the wheels because I hate the stockers, they look horrible IMO. For colors the body is going to be a metallic burgundy and for the interior I am either going with black or tan, I'm unsure right now. More here: http://s373.photobuc...nissan%20300zx/ Hopefully this build will continue to go well, thanks for looking.
  16. Got my tonneau cover for my 1:1, too bad my bed is screwed from the stupid plastic bed liner. In the summer I'm thinking about repainting the whole truck and fixing the bed. The rails are all scuffed and there's a bunch of rust on em, darn it.
  17. Thanks Dave, had a few fit issues but nothing major. It's a great kit.
  18. Wow this came out great! I'm glad I bought 2 because the optional aero parts look great on the car. My 2 kits also have a warped chrome tree, it's not a big problem but i have also noticed quite a few revell kits I've bought with warped trees. My RoG Vw t3 camper is really warped, the whole kit fits badly and I'm in final assembly and it is just a pain.
  19. New rims and somebody work, more pics later.
  20. Thanks everyone. I too had fit issues with the exhaust and the rad/core support. I like the car, but it wasn't the most fun build.
  21. Thanks guys. The paint is testors one coat, mystic emerald.
  22. So i also finished this 62 Catalina. It was a fun build till final assembly. It fought me the whole way to the finish. I had a few more details I wanted to add but I decided to just call it done. The rear tires are from the amt parts pack slicks and some parts box rims. Thanks for looking.
  23. So I finished my Meyers Manx. It was a really fun build. I used a set of slicks from the amt parts pack tire sets, and I decided to build the street version. A few more here: http://s373.photobuc...bowtiebadboy33/ Thanks for looking.
  24. Wow us folks from Canada are allowed to enter this time. I'm not going to, but it's nice to know we can if we want to.
