  1. So, did the interest in this build fade or what?
  2. That's awesome! But the white truck is missing a wheel.
  3. It's cool, it's unique, and I think you automatically win the award for the most heavily modified 55 Chevy kit...EVER!
  4. Glad you got a chance to take some pics to show off those ghost flames. You did a great job and they really needed shown off.
  5. That's one sick Splash! I like how you used the 99 Silverado upper control arms to make the suspension 98 up Ranger style. 1:1 Rangers (and Fords in general) usually have massive negative camber but, since this is a model kit, I think it looks pretty daggon good the way you made it subtle.
  6. Wow! I thought I was the only person that remembered MASK. When everyone else was hardcore collecting Transformers and GI Joes, I was collecting these. I had Thunderhawk, Scorpion, Firefly, Bulldog, the black car that split into three pieces, the 300 ZX, the motorcycle with the sidecar, the RV, the blue SUV and I am sure others I don't remember. (Sorry I don't remember half the names now.) Heck I even saw my old Bolder Hill set in my parents' outbuilding the other day.
  7. That's turnin out to be one bad little Beetle there. I like how you put the suicide hinges so close to the door frame and kept everything really tight to the body. And for that 1:1 bug, I think that's the biggest rims I have ever seen on one....but overall it's pretty sweet.
  8. James, you've got this thing lookin' killer. Can't wait to see it finished.
  9. Is that an RX7 kit with the Supra theme? Now all you need is a Supra kit and the RX7 theme graphics and you can build both!
  10. Both of my 50 Chevy kits had front leaf springs. Are the spindles and control arms scratched or borrowed for something else? Still looking sharp BTW.
  11. You turned a 300 into a Viper. And somehow you are making it look stock. What a great concept!
  12. Lookin' good! For some reason, that first pink picture put me in mind of Pinky from Next Friday.
  13. Yeah, everyone has their work cut out for them on this one. I mean look at it this way, one was a movie star and both were race car drivers. Dang near everyone over 16 drives and there are thousands, if not millions of amateur and professional race car drivers, and on top of that countless countless people who drive transport etc for a living. And there are tons of people that pick apart movies to see what is really plausible. They know if they mess this up, someone is gonna call them on it.
  14. Tom, we are talking about if someone were dirty enough to build a crashed version. Sorry about the confusion.
  15. Ya know. It's strange that camera zoomed in on that. I don't know what exactly was happening behind those camera controls. But it raises my blood pressure to think someone might have been zooming that camera instead of bee lining for the door to help. I'll give them a benefit of a doubt if these were manual controls by a human because ya never know what runs through someone's head...it still irks me dearly. BTW, Carl. I haven't located the CNN program just yet. However, I did locate a program Saturday night on CNN, that runs twice about heroes and I'm thinking he might be featured on it. I marked it on the DVR...pretty sure it was an Anderson Cooper program. Side note I know I've been trying to avoid much of the Hollywood side of the discussion at this point. But I have to give hats off the Universal Studios and the entire "Fast Family". The kindness shown by the cast and crew are the most genuine and sincere I have ever seen out of people in a film franchise. It's like they have all reached out to show family, fans, and friends that they understand what everyone is going through and they are genuinely grieving. Universal purchased a permit for family and friends to occupy the crash site for a short memorial. They are also giving part of their proceeds from Fast 6 to Reach Out Worldwide. And they are even considering completely scrapping Fast 7. Hollywood is so quick to grab that all mighty dollar but, Universal is willing to possibly walk away from its cash cow in honor of someone who has poured their heart and soul into helping build them arguably the most successful film franchise of this century.
  16. Yep, that pretty much somes it up!

    F&F Eclipse

James, I remember him being in another movie where he had like, a 65 Mustang convertible or a similar model Mustang. I've been thinking of building it but, I can't remember the name of the movie to look up the car. Heck, I don't even remember the plot...just he has a Mustang in it. I had the Eclipse to build but, somewhere along the way, a box with this and a few other kits has managed to disappear from my house.
  18. OK, from my understanding, the Revelle DONKS Chevelle does have the factory style build parts as well as the Donk specific suspension and wheels. So, my question is, does anyone have this kit? If so, could you please post a picture of the decal sheet? If posting a picture of the decal sheet is not feasable, I just need a 100% yes or no on whether this comes with stock black stripes. I really don't want to have to special order an AMT 70 Chevelle for the stripes when I can just pick up the donks kit the next time I go to my nearest Hobby Town. They have a couple in stock.
  19. I was thinking Ford bought a GTR and said "OK, let's throw on some Camaro quarters and interior pieces, put some fender vents in the hood, grind out the grille bigger, and throw some Mustang taillights and badges on it." Im not saying it looks THAT bad. But certainly too much like the GTR and Camaro. BTW, one of the 19" wheels is called the premium but 20s are available. It's kinda childish but, I also noticed that if you hold down one of the arrows in the picture, on Charlie's link, you get really dizzy.
  20. If they have surveillence video, then they should be able to take the time stamps and area that camera covers and determine their speed VERY closely. Seat belts are something I'd like to know as well. However, I really don't want the details of how they know whether they had them on. A solid conclusion would serve well enough. I'm still in shock from all this, almost a week later and it just doesn't seem even a bit more real. Carl, thanks for information on the Paul Walker special. Do you know what it is going to be called? We are going out of state this weekend and I would like to DVR it. Tennessee as a matter of fact.
  21. Oh, I dunno know about that one. Mine was the one that had the stupid ground effects and the lame roll pan with dual exhaust into it. Throw up some pics of what you got and I'll take a look. I'm sure some others might chime in if they see as well. As for the move, NP we all post in the incorrect section from time to time. I just wanted to let you know they may move it to pickups and light commercial on the work bench or the questions area. If it helps, questions is the topic sectioned off on the list with modelling tips.
  22. Ahhhh I seee. So, we get to be lazy and watch you build them huh?
  23. Oh Sorry Sean. I should have clarified that I wasn't intending to toss it in the mix of the community build since it's not a F&F car. If at some time in the near future I get a chance to build, I wouldn't mind joining in with something like the Ford Brian/Paul drives in Fast 6. Or even see if there is a die cast of the new Charger and build one of the police cars from Fast 5 But I do think building one of his personal cars would be a great idea to honor his true love of cars offset as well.
