Good thing she didn't plug it up next to your finished builds. Frosty could have put a costly smack down. I hope he brings your family much winter fun! -
1/25 1-Gallon Plastic Milk Jugs?
Skydime replied to webestang's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I dunno about milk jugs. But I do vaguely remember someone posted a shine runner car on here once that had a mocked up cardboard box full of mason jars. However, I've been here two or three years and cannot remember when, during that period, or even what kind of car it was. -
Andy, I give you a lot of credit. You certainly have done great work on this and get tons of points on originality! I do agree with Bill on the longer doors if a two door is your intention. Either that or scribe a line for the rear doors as well. A four door custom with no center pillar looks really cool. But it's your build. Whatever you decide to do or not do, it still doesn't change the cool factor of this one.

The Superbee is looking good so far. Can't wait to see it in that color for real.

I just checked out all six pages of this build. The 1:1 subject matter certainly isn't my cup of tea. But I must admit you do excellent scratch building and detail work. You make this quite an enjoyable build to watch!

Woah! Jim, this thing looks so mean it would make Christine's radiator leak out of fear. And I can't help but think of a much cooler version of the original Batmobile when I see those black rear fins.

Happy Halloween!

Check out the mirror headlights...makes me think someone's project might have gotten "tagged". -
Slick Camaro Carl! My 94 Camaro was almost this color with silver heritage stripes.

Perhaps this will help. http://artbaxter.com/esoterica-pages/amt_kat-index.html (Scroll Down) There is even a "contact me" link on that page as well. PS I was fortunate enough to find the image on a Bing search. The image had the URL when hovered over. I copied the whole thing into the browser and there it was. Otherwise, i would have never found it. Took a few minutes to get it though.

This one is coming along nicely. I really like that toned down dash. It's a refreshing look for this kit.

Thanks for posting the pics for us Carl. BTW, are those seats vinyl like the ones in the Showroom Vette or regular styrene? Looks like a low effort slump-buster type kit for sure. For this type of model, I am really impressed by the windows already trimmed on this. That's certainly something I would not mind seeing on a few more kits.

Mean looking Oldsmobile!

Thanks Erik. I got a PM offering a trade for one. Just gotta locate what I need for the trade. Hopefully, I can source what I need at the swap meet in good condition.

Okay, these may not be the most needed but, I'd like to see the promo later model (83ish) Chevette kit re-released as a full detail. I would do my dad's ols 77 but, I don't ever recall seeing one of those in 1:24 or 1:25. My mom had one when I was a kid that I would like to replicate. I want to do one mini truck style. Maybe even do a full v8 drag car conversion. I would also like another to combine with a Chevy Luv to make the "Cheluv" conversion that was mildly popular in the 80s. For those that don't know what I am talking about, it is a Chevette chopped off behind the doors with a Luv back cab wall and the Luv bed. I've seen a few and really liked them. EDIT: I just found out that MPC made the 77 Chevette. Now I've got to be on the lookout for one.

Lucy, on Charlie Brown, always said, "The doctor is WAYYY in!" Virgil, you knocked this one out of the park.
