I haven't heard of them, either until they announced the Corsair. It seems like they mainly focus on armor. Regardless, this looks like a stunning kit!

I've got the new Magic Factory 1/48 F4U Corsair heading my way right now. Should be here by Wednesday. From what I have seen from the test shots, it will be a very good kit and I can't wait to start it!

They're nice trucks for sure. I would love to build one, which is what got me to thinking about this topic. Old trucks certainly have their appeal. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I do like the looks of the new semi trucks on the road today. I'll have to look into some of these resin kits. May have to save up to get one.

We welcomed two new members to the family last week. After our dear, beloved cat of 16 years passed away last year, it left a void in our house that we felt we just couldn't really overcome. Then, last week, a friend of mine reached out to us and asked if we would be interested in fostering two kittens. We gladly said yes and very quickly fell in love with them. And they are very much a handful! Charlie on the bottom and sister Charlotte on top who looks almost exactly like my beloved cat Whiskers who passed away almost a year ago.

I'm about to order a couple more of the Moebius Prostars and I got to thinking about how long it has been since they were released. Have licenses gotten too expensive that kit manufacturers just don't want to go through all of the trouble just to produce a plastic kit legally? The Prostar and Lonestar are really the only kits of new semi trucks that we have gotten in the last ten years. Is there really no market for them? Don't get me wrong, I love the older trucks. But, it would be nice to see some more modern trucks being kitted. Moebius gave us two good kits in my opinion. But, did they find out that it just wasn't worth the hassle of securing the licensing rights? What are your thoughts on this? I really don't know much about how expensive licenses are. I have heard that some manufacturer's licenses are very costly and some are more friendly towards kit manufacturers. It would be awesome, though, to see some more modern semi truck kits being produced. Modern trailers would be very welcome, as well. If anybody is into war films, I just got done watching a movie called The Forgotten Battle on Netflix. I thought it was very well done. It's filmed pretty much like how the movie Dunkirk was made.

That there have been no new tool semi truck kits in a good while, now. I was thinking to myself that it would be nice to see some new trucks, but I guess there really isn't a market for any manufacturer to invest in it. Or, if there is, the licensing is too much. Pity.

I really envy the ones who can get those cabs together so well. So far, that is my Achilles Heel when it comes to Italeri kits. You did an incredible job on yours! I love the color choice!

I thought the truck that Foxx drives looked pretty cool! If I can find a kit and tires and rims like those on his truck. I would like to build one like his, but in black.

I was recommended a movie called Threads. Kind of like a fact based horror movie of what a nuclear apocalypse would look like if it actually happened. Set in Great Britain around the early 80's. Gives a very chilling look at what might have been if the Cold War turned hot. I'm usually not the type that gets squeamish, but this movie made me a little uncomfortable.

Two other cats. One appropriately named Garfield and a calico named Callie. They're 5 years old. But, I've had Whiskers since 2007. I love my other two cats, but not as much as Whiskers. He was by my side through some extremely dark times in my life.

Whiskers. Sure gonna miss his nose kisses and little head butts.

Saw The Batman yesterday. Makes the Christan Bale movies look like soap opras. I had my doubts about Robert Pattinson at first, but I was very delighted at how he portrayed the character. Better than I expected.

The Girl Next Door. Very disturbing and honestly made me sick to know there are people out there who can do that to children. I cried at the end. A very powerful movie. It's not for weak stomachs.

After being told my hours were being cut, my job decided I could start getting my usual hours again. Also got myself a nice little Christmas present for me.

It does seem really odd. Given how much money the company makes, they can more than afford new equipment. More than likely, they are over their budget for the quarter and need to trim down wherever they can. If that's the case, why couldn't they have just told us that, instead?

Well, I found out why the hours were cut. They're trying to free up funds to buy new equipment. I was told that cutting hours back frees up enough to purchase about half of the equipment we use. I work in inventory at a distribution facility. So, I'm okay with that as it is necessary for the job. If the cutback in hours is permanent, though, I'll have to look elsewhere for employment. Still, they could of used the funds that was used on the game to go towards the equipment.

My job cut my hours back below 40 for the week, citing budget constraints. Cut almost $400 from my paycheck. Today, they put an arcade style game in the breakroom. I confronted them about it and was told that the game was cheaper. So, I'm trying to put food on my table and pay bills. Barely making enough to do that. Cut my paycheck almost in half. But, at least I can play hoops while on my break.

It's something different. I'll give them that.

I mean, couldn't they have found a smaller box or bag for this? Is it just because it's convenient or do they just grab the nearest one to them?

Mine is kind of two fold. First, I like heavy metal. Second one is that I have been hit in the head with various things over the years. My mom lamented that I must have a metal head after shaking it off everytime. Name kinda stuck.

Iron Man would be proud! Awesome build!
