CometMan Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 I was also hesitant to open this thread because Donks and Gassers are just not my thing, but I am really glad I did! That is beautiful, Peter, very well done!!
DumpyDan Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Now that is an impressive model, paint look flawless.Â
Sixties Sam Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Beautiful Nomad! The colors are great and very well done. Great foil work. The foil on the cargo floor is a nice touch. Excellent build!Sam
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 That's gotta be the nicest build I've seen on that old kit. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the post, I was expecting another gasser build for some reason. That's exactly what I was thinking. This is an exceptionally clean build all the way around. The side view is nice and straight, the interior is outstanding and the color choice and paint job are beautiful.Â
LittleDrummerBoy Aka LDB Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Really nice build, your skill shines on this model!
beeRS Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Just a perfect build in every way. That is one beautiful model!I'm going to go buy some Zero paints now.
peekay Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 Thanks again everyone for your encouraging comments.Sonny, Zero paints are great but they will need a gloss clearcoat. I used Tamiya TS13 on this one, which needed polishing out.
ZIL 111V Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Master Piece! The best AMT 55 Nomad, ever seen for me.
W-409 Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Wow that is one fantastic looking Nomad! But of course that's no surprise when I saw who is the builder, you do awesome work. Very nice paint job and superb BMF work too. Engine detailing finishes it off... Simply beautiful!

Maindrian Pace Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Stunning, no other word. It's satisfying to see these modern, high-skill builds applied to vintage AMT, MPC, and Johan kits in a way that you never saw them built before. Who knew they could be so nice?
DeeCee Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 That is VERY tidy, and great paint and foil work too.
Speedfreak Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 I've always admired your work Peter, you did a great job. That is really beautiful.
