Snake45
Your beautiful work on this rebuild inspired me to buy a glue bomb of this exact model at the local toy show this morning. You probably won't believe this, but mine is missing the engine cover and wing too! I see you have cast replacements for yours. Any chance you could do a set for me? I'd be more than happy to pay for materials, postage, and your time--whatever you think it's worth. Or let me know what you might need in trade--who knows, I might have something you're looking desperately for.
Tom Geiger
Great save! Like others said, it's great to restore a glue bomb. Kinda takes you back to when you were young and trying to restore the beat up old 1:1 cars we could afford! I'm playing with an old Monogram 1930 Ford coupe that some kid chopped the top back around 1962. I'm building it in the original vision, color and all. I'd love to find that kid today to show it to him!

Twokidsnosleep
Hello everyone, long time no posts 2019 is a year to finish some stalled builds for me...this Porsche, Ferrari F40 some other non car stuff I have pulled this out of the closet and am getting the running gear fixed up so we can have rolling wheels, steering and four level wheels also made four disk brakes and the calipers, fixed the broken mirror supports and polished and sealed the glass...show that when paint dries

The wing area is torn out from the last session removal and I don't think will make a good result...at least something I would be proud to pass onto a fellow modeller. I would suggest looking at shape ways or these guys https://www.scaleproduction.de/product_info.php?info=p2080_p-993--carrera-rs-.html Sorry man

HI Dan Ya it is ok Because it was all glued up and painted beforehand, things are not as neat, tidy and sharp as I would like but it is ok looking forward to finishing so I can move to new plastic. this is a skill/character building exercise

I will post them from flickr next time and reduce the size more...otherwise you can see all my mistakes That's OK. I like huge pictures! This is turning out real nice. I have a Revell 911 Cabriolet. It is not nearly as detailed as your kit is. You have inspired me to get a start on it. I have no experience with foreign cars, so I will sort of follow what you are doing. Great Job so far! Twokidsnosleep
Well, I destroyed one of the front wheel hub assemblies that connects the wheel, shock, steering to the suspension. It is replaceable, but will take some scratch and soldering work and not sure I am interested in it So off to the time out section of the closet this goes again until my juices flow for it again I am going to restore a Pocher Ferrari now...look for it in Big Boys section

Twokidsnosleep
Well this one hopped back onto my bench this weekend. I will be happy to get the re-furbish done I remade the broken front shock and wheel assembly in brass and styrene with some mechanical retention and spruce glue...I just about smashed the entire model when I broke the front end, but the better part of reason took over and settled my fury Let’s see what is left?? Glasswork, windshield wipers, side mirrors, rear deck attatchment. I wanna make a matching surfboard, but might save that for later. Fooling around with some photos on the turntable Edited March 24, 2019 by Twokidsnosleep
