Just saw on Instagram that board member Blair Pletcher has passed away. I didn't know him but was an admirer of his beautiful weathering jobs. May he rest is piece.

I didn't know who him. Did he use a pseudonym?

Bob, he was "bpletcher55" here on the board. He went to the CPMCC (York, PA) and was one of the best when it came to weathering.

If you check this thread here, you'll see the last model he posted here as far as I can see.

He was really great on anything built. Sad he is gone. I wonder what happened to him?

More sad news. i always enjoyed seeing his approach to building, and like you guys have said, his weathering was very believable.

Prayers for his family and friends. Too much of this going around lately.

I am another that liked his work and taste in cars.

I just went and checked his stuff. Very cool all of it. Thanks for the heads up Bill. What a shame, and only a year older than me.

Wow, I was just thinking recently that I hadn't seen him post any builds in quite a while.

Never met him in person either, just really admired his work - seemed like his rod builds were always very well thought out and executed.

His family has my sympathies.

Here's one of his builds I especially liked:

I talked to him like a day or two before he passed. Such a tragedy! He was an awesome guy!
