I personally would like to see some profile photos of the hood section mounted to the body with the front wheel removed to see where and how you cut into the body and hood to make way for that frame.rail. I have both styles of that JF body in my stash and that section has me scratching my head for a viable solution. Thanks for sharing your considerable talent with us. Morning Tom. Took a few pics for you. If you’d like better ones let me know..

I certainly appreciate your effort and I'm sure a lot of builders will be referring to these for guidance.

Your axle and spring photo will also be handy for deciding what to you on my JF coupes. With slicks and an air cleaner poking through that hood yours is heading more towards street and strip than salt flats I think..

I have to cut out a bit on top of the hood for clearance yet. Then it’ll get a scoop on it. One that’s aerodynamic and tight to the hood.. Air cleaner assy. May come off and get something else.. A cross between these This is the look I’m going for on the final build!!

DrKerry
Front suspension is in, worked on cooling system and getting an idea on how to run hoses.. Radiator will be in the trunk and routed forward. May have to find a 32 Ford louvered deck lid for it now.. Also found the hood scoop that will go on. Doors are hinged and on. Think I may have to cut the belts down and drop the alternator down too. It’s hitting the bottom of the hood. That or cut a hole in the hood, scoop may cover it.. Fire bottles will lay on passengers side floor board. Have to put in pan hard bar yet.. At ride height!

It’s really not a hard body to work with. Typical clean up of resin and thinning out panels yes but not hard to work with..
