Tim08
Done. We're ready to go. Stock engine Seat belts, cooler, duffle bag, and extinguisher, roll bar. Maybe a few pieces of hardware under the seat for safety. Spare strapped on. Trunk packed. the sleeping bags and duffel bag is milliput. Gas can, battery, shovel and axe are from some hobby sets. Tool box from the 72 chev wedge truck. Printed the plates, covered with clear tape. Cut and mounted. If we make it out of china and Russia with these Ohio plates, we'll see you all in Paris!

Very nice, those Plymouth kits always fit this build really well.

Tim08
Thanx guys. It was allot of fun. When I was researching the rally these older cars really caught my attention, and I had the right kit in the stash.
Tim08
Wow, now that I look again, I need to control my closeups a little better. My camera picked up every speck of dust!
Jantrix
Greetings my friends. The last two years or so my modeling time has been occupied with other pursuits. I do apologize for being absentee on this CBP. I think this build off is of great interest to vintage racing fans so there's no reason it should end. I encourage everyone to continue participate far beyond the end of this year, as no doubt the actual race will continue. I will eventually get back into it, and when I do, my '51 is at the top of my list. Take care.

One of these days I'll get back to this.

Sam I Am
Awesome detail on that Plymouth. Sorry, my Mustang never got off the ground. Due to health issues, I just couldn't get it started. I only built two models for the year, both community builds, I wanted this to be the third....
MeatMan
Although the deadline has been removed I still plan to have my Karmann-Ghia done by years end. Yesterday I got the dash fitted and its a go. I designed it based on a stock KG dash and added a switch pod, and a CB radio under the glove compartment. After seeing the progress I decided to do a quick pre-paint mockup, adding my stowage. I managed to hinge the deck lid but the hood (trunk?) didn't have enough clearance so it won't be hinged unless I can come up with some side hinges. Barring some unforeseen issue or me dropping the thing on the floor it will be done soon.
Mattilacken
So after struggling with the chassis from the GTO and problem on finding some of the parts I had a look at my Camaro that I started a while back and I might go a head with this for the P2P. Made the start on a cage and also made the wheel choice I think. Stock size tires on all four corners will help when struggling to find a spare in The bush. but then again the Camaro is almost to new.. MeatMan
Well, I didn't get my KG finished in time to make my year-end deadline, so I'll just do a status update. I still have to put the decals and placards on, add some driving/fog lights, skid plates, and mud flaps. It's been a challenging, yet fun build. Faux pas notwithstanding.
Jantrix
Builders, I must apologize. It's terribly irresponsible to start a build-off and then just disappear. But around Oct 2022, I just got utterly burned out on modeling. I picked up another hobby and I've been doing it ever since. I'm only now starting to get back to the modeling bench. I hope those of you who built a model for this enjoyed it and finished it. I'm very sorry to let everyone down. I will NOT be starting any more CBP's.
