Koellefornia Kid Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Just finished my entry for this year's Cannonball Run Community Build, The Birthyear Ball. It's a 1978 Dodge Monaco built from amt´s Joker Goon Car kit: Paint is Tamiya TS-92 Orange and Vallejo Gun Metal Wheels and disc brakes came from a Tamiya DTM Mercedes CLK and were set into 23" aluminium sleeves and tires from Scaleproduction. I scratchbuilt the headlights and grille inserts as well as the license plates snd the LED taillights. Exhaust tips were made of copper tubing. The interior features four Dodge Viper bucket seats, resin speakers and amp... ...a touch screen GPS for the co-driver... ...Viper center console and a digital instrument cluster. Under the hood a Viper V10 from a die cast provides some horse powers. I had a lot of fun with this build and I hope you like it! Thanks for looking, comments are welcomed and appreciated! Greetings from Cologne, Germany 1
John B. Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Very nicely done - it looks like you had fun building it! 1
Vintage AMT Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 That is really neat, like the stripes on the firewall...great color. 1
espo Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 I think your vision of this model is a lot better looking. I like the grill you made and the notched rear bumper for the exhaust looks good. 1
happy grumpy Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 Great looking build. I like the orange stripes. 1

Steve H Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 I would not have thought it was possible to make that car look cool. Great build Oliver, and the stance is perfect. Details like the notches for the exhaust, interior goodies, and the stripes flowing into the engine bay, all add up to a great looking model. Cheers, Steve 1

galaxyg Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 A change of wheels, lowering and a cool paint job and suddenly a very ordinary car is transformed into something Dom Toretto could drive. Very nice, inspiring build. 1
Claude Thibodeau Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Hi Oliver! Well... here is the last car I would have tought to "pro-tour", but you pulled it of. Bravo! CT 1
