James2 Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 This is my tribute build to Al Auth (RIP), it is a resin body he mastered and gave to me years ago. Nothing to fancy just some basic custom touches I'm sure Al would enjoy. I used an AMT kit as donor, spare parts wheels, some styrene tube and wire for the French antenna, 1/2 round for the new side trim and a grill from the AMT parts pack. I did the window trim in black just like the 1:1 came without chrome. Paint is Tamiya with a clear urethane topcoat. Thanks for looking... 9
lizardlust Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 Very nicely done with impeccable workmanship! A lovely model and a fine tribute to your friend.
Immortal Chips Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 Cool looking build, looks great, I like the colour choice. Try using fine line tape when making off stripes to get nice clean lines between colours though.
Bainford Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Nice custom. It evokes the cars in the small 'pocket' magazines of customs in the early 60s. Great period vibe. The chrome strip on the quarter panels is a nice touch. Cool stuff.
Zippi Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Love the wheels & tires and the stance is spot on. Great color. Nice build Rooster.
